4.5 Stars. Really great food, beautiful decor and good service. Not too expensive either. K is also pretty well priced!

Food isnt the best and the menu isn't the biggest. Quite expensive, not worth the money, can get better food for less money elsewhere. Would not go back and would not recommend.

I have been to this place many times. In the past the establishment serve variety of food and drinks and have packages for the rooms. It was great and although we always end up spending tons of money, we feel like we get a decent food and drinks and had a good time. The last time I went there with my friends there is no packages anymore, hardly any variety of food and drinks prices has gone up and the mix alcohol drinks feels like drinking a very watery version of it. Still good times with the karaoke, just don't feel like we getting anywhere enough value for the money we spend.

Very good food and the prices are also decent. There is a wide variety of dishes from sushi to rice bowls. The karaoke rooms are big and spacious, the bathrooms are also clean. I would come back here again for Japanese food and also recommend others to do so.

The food was great. The karaoke rooms were great. Nice and clean. Good song selection. A book to flick through with the songs would of been handy And cocktails were pretty watery Otherwise really good. Will go back

Went for a karaoke room, no meal. Staff were polite and friendly, karaoke room was clean, comfortably fitting 6 people. Good song selection, sound and microphones were also good. It wasn't special, but I had no reason to drop it from four stars. Would go again.

Loved our experience. The room was snazzy and intimate. Perfect size for our group. Food was awesome and such fast service. Customer service from the woman in the lobby was fantastic and the rest of the team who served us our food then let us know our time was up.

Definitely loving this karaoke here, mixed with food and drinks!!!! Perfect to chill with friends !!!! Food was delicious.

The lovely setting of Lantern by Wagaya feels very authentic with the intimate traditional seating and overhead lantern decorations. It offers a great lunch deal combination with free karaoke with spends over $20 and the booths are great. It surprisingly has a vast menu with a lot of different choices for both lunch and dinner.

🍽 DISHES SAMPLED
⭕️ SEARED SALMON CREAM CHEESE ROLL |
A must try item if you're craving sushi and stopping by Lantern by Wagaya. The cream cheese is so tasty and melts alongside the seared salmon. it is definitely one of the best salmon sushi rolls I've ever tried.

⭕️ TAKOYAKI, TEMPURA & DUMPLINGS |
The takoyaki and tempura were good, but not great. They tasted like pretty standard sushi train type dishes found at your typical casual japanese dining places. The dumplings definitely tasted homemade, fresh and was very savoury.

⭕️ LANTERN STRAWBERRY MOJITO |
The taste of alcohol is stronger than expected in this mojito, but I can really see how it's a special drink concoction of Lantern by Wagaya. It's one of the better mojitos I've tried and a hidden gem I didn't expect to be impressed by after dining here.

Instagram: @sydneyfoodreviewer

The food was really good for the price, and had a really good selection of dishes, as well as drinks. The service was quick and efficient. The restaurant does get a bit too dark, and sometimes can get very loud due to the close proximity the restaurant is with the karaoke rooms. However, overall I had a good experience with this restaurant and have been here multiple times to dine or karaoke. Would highly recommend this place, especially if you're looking for a cheap place to do karaoke and eat.

We came into Wagaya just 5 minutes before the kitchen was to shut. We ordered real quickly and were surprised at how fast and fresh the food was when it came out. Food was also very delicious!

I’ve been to the karaoke here a few times but didn’t realize that they also had a dining space with cubicles and a view of George street!

Ordered the Pork milk hot pot combination with California roll, ramen noodle, tofu seafood salad and two green teas. This was shared between two people but we finished it quite quickly and ordered another dish. Quality was okay, but for the price of $46.20 it was pretty reasonable.

I love dining here as the food is very well priced, presented well & tastes great! I have been here upon separate occasions and have always enjoyed it! I really recommend the jap pork hotpot as it was super hearty and tasty , the cheese gratin is a must try entree !!! The chicken and cheese curry is also super tasty & during lunch time they do a $15 udon set which is great value!!

4/5 for the value of karaoke and simple Japanese dishes (generous serving). Not much choice for desserts and don’t expect much from the service (

The staff here are ok but the service needs to be improved. The wait time for the food is too long, especially when asking for something simple like a drink, when it's not busy at all. It's quite noisy as well since it's also a karaoke place. Prices are quite expensive for the small portions. Spent over $100 here and didn't leave feeling quite full. Pretty disappointing dining experience.

It was a very dark environment and i asked the staff if it was a children friendly restaurant. They ensured me. They didn't have a highchair. And no cutlery for my two children. We ordered tempura udon and it came out with no prawns. I asked her where were the prawns, she said we need to pay separately and it doesn't come with the dish... We showed her the menu and she said ”oh. Wait. ”. then some other waiter comes along and asked if we want to still get the prawn. I said yes. Then he gave us the plate and walked off. All of the staff was very rude and always seem upset but when they talk to each other, they would laugh and seem to be happy. This place is also run by Chinese people and not authentic Japanese food. The food was below average and smaller serving sizes. I have had better. I made the mistake for not checking Zamato first!

Amazing food and fast service. The grilled salmon sushi is delectable and a must order. The ramen here is good and affordable with a nice soup base. The takoyaki is great too. Overall good price good food and good customer service

Excellent spot for a fun session of karaoke in the city. For a minimum spend of 20pp, we had the room for 2 hours at lunch. Bento meals were just $10 at lunch and came with a decent array of food. Quality was good for the price. The food came quickly and staff were efficient. Would highly recommend if you're looking for a karaoke and food joint.

Came here for dinner. Didn't know they also did karaoke.

The place was quite run down. We were given a table where the ordering device wasn't working so had to order by waitress.

Food was tasty. We had:
* Dan dan ramen - spicy but didn't have the mince meat and instead had pork, bamboo shoots and an egg. Noodles were well cooked
* Chicken salad - fresh and well dressed
* Agedashi tofu - well seasoned and tofu was nice and smooth
* Prawn tempura sushi - delicious
* Black sesame ice cream - ok

Can't get over this place, my love for the $30 cocktail jugs , sashimi and salmon and avocado hand rolls will always keep me coming back for more.

Really bad customer service. Made eye contact several times with the waiters and called for them however they continued to ignore our table. They made mistakes with our orders, we waited 20 minutes after finishing our main meal and our yakitori sticks had not come out so I asked to which the waiter said the order was never put through. No apology, constant ignorance. The food itself is decent and presentation however will not be returning.

I remember Wagaya used to be in Chinatown. Not sure what happened there after I came in. But they have an incredible menu ranging from seafood to fried chicken that will make you filled up inside on a winters night or just having a chilled lunch. I remembering ordering a whole heaps of sushi and the others ordered hotpot or even vegeterian foods. The variety is alot. We had a group of almost 10 people which we ate quite the amount. Also ordered some smooth cocktail which i dont remember the name but I remember it was a green with white liquid in it. It was so good that I ordered it again. Would like to come back here to see the new menu.

Came here to buy a takeaway lunch on weekday. The dish chosen was teriyaki beef bento. Service was pretty quick and efficient. The dish was quite large portionwise and tasted okay.

The place is hidden away.
You really need to be willing to go to this place or you will end up going somewhere else.
The bento box was ok not bad.
Will give it another try
Wanderlust
Pros: restaurant had great friendly service and affordable price. Lunch had $10 bento boxes. Unfortunately, I didn’t see salmon bento box on the menu but they had udon salmon bento box combo ( priced a little bit more). You order on the ipad. each table has their own iPad. I like the iPads.

Cons: food was not the worse, but not great, just average. We ordered the beef teriyaki bento box ($10) and tonkatsu (fried pork) bento box. The beef had a lot of fat and sauce was too sweet and too much sauce. I did not enjoy the beef. Pork was dry and came out room temperature rather than hot......Was the pork pre-made? :( Seaweed sprinkled over the rice tasted weird.....I prefer rice to be plain. The other side items in the bento box tasted good (fried tofu, salad, pickled veggie, miso soup, fried seafood patty).

Ambience: restaurant environment upon entering is very weird cuz I didn’t know it was a karaoke place. Very dark and slightly claustrophobic. But once u walk pass the karaoke rooms, u get to the restaurant booth sitting area which has nice large sized booths and windows. This is a small area with more than a dozen of nice booths. Area is on the dark quiet intimate side. I found it to be ok. If u prefer alfresco and openness, then this is not the place for u. During lunch, they had a good amount of customers, but not crowded. I liked the music they were playing, it’s mellow and at a good volume.

Toilets: nice. large size and clean.

A Japanese restaurant/karaoke. We originally wanted to go to Wagaya in Chinatown, but it was closed for renovation. A bit hard to find given it's upstairs in a high rise building & there's not much signage nor directions. It was still pretty early on Saturday night, but there were already karaoke signing coming through some of the rooms. We just wanted dinner & didn't have a booking, so had to vacant the table in just under 90 mins. The food came out pretty quickly, quality were not bad & prices reasonable. However the singing & noise coming out of the rooms were just bit distracting. Will probably go to Wagaya when it reopen instead.

Got their Teriyaki Beef Bento Box with Mealpal. The beef was a little tough but very flavoursome, possibly influenced by the nice sauce that comes with the salad. I particularly enjoyed the seafood croquette but everything else was fairly average.

Absolutely love the design of this place. From the floor to the ceilings, it doesn't cease to mesmerise me!!! The decor is beautiful and although the restaurant is dimly lit, it doesn't look scary at all. The food here came out fast but some of the staff were not as friendly and seemed a bit off and unwelcoming. However, food was great and cheap!

Have always been a MASSIVE fan of Wagaya in china town... and then when I found out there was another one on George street, I absolutely had to check it out. I've been a couple of times now, and it is one of my favourite restaurants! I love that you order off a touch screen, the food comes out EXTREMELY quick, the atmosphere is great, and the food is mouth watering. Would definitely recommend trying the edamame, the takoyaki, the agedashi tofu, the lotus root chips, the beef sukiyaki hot pot and the seared salmon and cream cheese roll. All of it was so good and I will always return! Such a cool place, they even offer karaoke rooms too! Wagaya is a must!

Went here for the $20 for food and 2 hours karaoke deal that they had and we had a feast
There were 10 of us and we had $200 in total to spend on food and drinks and it was difficult to use all of it. For a cheap price per dish, they offer both quantity AND quality. There is a wide range of japanese cuisines you can choose from and they are all very delicious
As for the karaoke
They are very updated on the japanese songs, with songs coming from both mainstream and not very known anime, rock songs, pop, traditional and ballads.
There are also songs in other languages and from what I remember, there were a lot in Chinese, Korean, English and Filipino. The English songs were updated but the others were probably updated a month or 2 ago. The karaoke rooms are very spacious, clean and comfortable as well, but they're not very soundproof so it gets kinda embarrassing
Overall a good experience

I think it is the best Japanese restaurant with karaoke in Sydney. There are plenty of choices in their menu. My favorite dishes are chicken yakitori, grill ox tongue, scollop fried rice, sushi platter etc. also their staff are so friendly and helpful, what a nice place.
David
My must go place japanese restaurant karaoke in city. They have authentic Izakaya style and the taste is delicious. I went there to have karaoke and dinner package all the time. I love to enjoy their food and karaoke in the same time. What a wonderful place for me to spend with my friends in weekend.
Kathy
Nice and delicious Japanese food. I have order chicken namban, deep fried chicken soft bone, sushi platter, sashimi, pork hot pot and spaghetti and stone pot rice. Everything are delicious and will definitely come back
Honest Eats
The food is average, service is average but the karaoke is above average. It's a good way to kill a few fun hours with mates before a night out.

Love the fact that this place is open until late and the location is just perfect, right in the CBD. Just what you needed when you are hungry as soon as you landed in Sydney in the middle of the night. The gyoza (dumpling) and dragon eel roll is good and they have quite a huge variety of drinks as well to offer.

Absolutely my favourite go to place whenever I travel to Sydney!! The staff are lovely, can be a long wait sometimes but it's definitely worth it! The food is so delicious!
MelbourneFoodPaparazza
Went to this place with a cousin for karaoke and dinner. Both were incredibly good value, the karaoke being $6 per person per hour until 7pm on the Saturday, while most of the izakaya-style dishes came in at under $10 per plate. In addition, there was a $10 Sapporo and yakitori deal which was well worth the money given the large pot/schooner of Sapporo it contained. All up, we ordered a ramen, a unagi don, Takoyaki, sushi and the Sapporo + yakitori. The dishes were all tasty though a little lacking in authenticity, particularly with the use of normal long grain rice rather than sushi rice in some of the dishes. However, as mentioned, the price compensated well for this, as did the service which was very efficient with the touch screens.

This is a clean and comfortable place to relax and enjoy Japanese food. Service is very friendly and ordering is off iPads (like at Mizuya, Sushi Hotaru, etc). I've noticed quantity decreasing gradually over the course of 6 months e.g. less soft shell crab in the spider roll, but the quality of the sushi is much better than similar priced places in the area. Their udon isn't as good as Mappen down the road.
I wouldn't recommend their desserts as their ice cream is very icy and there are plenty of other places in the area.
Ph.D!
Great atmosphere, nice & cosy dining area and average Japanese food. Scallop & garlic fried rice was very nice with a great charred smell, but it was very oily.
Take And Eat
What we ordered:
+ Teriyaki Beef Bento ($9.90)
+ Tonkatsu Bento ($9.90)
+ Terimayo Hamburg Bento ($9.90)

The Plus +
+ Super great lunch deal- very generous portion and extremely filling.
+ Generous portions- heaps of meat and other side dishes.
+ The touch screen concept is always a fun way to order.
+ Surprisingly very quiet even though the karoke rooms are right next to the dining area. + Value for money
+ Quick service

The Minus -
- The restaurant can be easily missed / hard to find - there needs to be clear sinage.

Latern by Wagaya got my attention by a spruiker on the street. I go up in the building to check it out. As I entered, It looks like there are karoake rooms. In the back, there are some booths where you can have lunch. There is a touch screen where you can order food. I opted for a $9.90 Teriyaki Chicken Bento and a $9.90 Beef Teriyaki Bento box. The bento boxes come with a side of rice, agedashi tofu, salad and a crumbed potato dish.

I love Wagaya and Lantern by Wagaya is just as fantastic! Enjoyed the karaoke here with some friends all whilst treating ourselves to their special $9.90 bento boxes + miso soup. There's a wide variety of delicious choices from teriyaki chicken to oroshi hamburg, you literally can't go wrong!

Overall a good experience food was okay but not worth the price in my opinion due to the taste and portion size however the drinks are great, always good to taste something new, lovely atmosphere but a little too crowded for our group.

The staff made 2 mistakes with our order but its not a big deal. A good place to eat, drink, sing and have fun.

I've been here a few times with friends and the lunch boxes was worth it. The drinks was also nice. Inside there's karaoke rooms but haven't been in yet but love too. The setting of the restaurant isn't too bad. I enjoyed it very much

Been here for second time, it was great! Been wanted to try their bento box but my partner wasn't really interested before, assuming with that low price that must've been small portion of lunch box (as he is a big eater). But finally one day we gave it a shot and I looooveeee their $9.90 lunch bento box. It is really a great value of money! For less then ten bucks you will get a rice, chosen of meal you want, side of agedashi tofu, mixed salad with fried prawn cake, some pickles aaaaand a bowl miso soup. Couldn't expect more for $9.90! I am a japanese food lover and i can never find any other places so far that has that BIG size of bento box for that small price, ever. Had the chicken namban as my chosen meal and my partner had the tonkatsu pork. Pork was crispy and tender, chicken was a bit hard though. But namban sauce was okay. Overall it was a good lunch experience. And we will come back here some other time, for sure!
Wendy Le
Karaoke was really fun! Service for food was fast and delicious. Room was too small though. Wanted to dance but couldn't. And couldn't fit a lot of food on the tables.
Sharon
Good food and decent service. It would be nice if the servers spoke English a little better. Otherwise the seafood is fresh and the prices are decent as well. Definitely worth a try!
Flozzil
Really like the $9.90 bento . Value for money and it's really filling. The bento comes with miso soup as well. Don't think i can any cheaper bento with that much food in anywhere.

We arrived at Lantern by Wagaya impressed by the late trading hours and the presence of karaoke rooms. However, as soon as we arrived, we were met by security officers who were unacceptably rude. The rest of our experience was much the same, with staff who were generally all right but for a few bad eggs.

The food at Lantern was somewhat expensive and not that impressive to be frank and the ambience is not all the good as a place for too many occasions.

Looking back, we are happy to have tried this place but wish that there were marked improvements in customer service and in the fare.

#kningjaeats classic and modern Japanese food. I've always come to Lantern for a karaoke session but I finally got to actually sit down and enjoy the food with some friends. I love the novelty of touch screen ordering and the service was relatively fast which was wonderful having been so hungry. The modern dishes were enjoyable especially the pizza and of course the classics were great too!
Ningjaeats
Homogenize your palette by selecting the endless variety of Japanese food including the classic favourites and more modern fusion flavours. Shred your taste buds with these sharing plates which are great for a group catch up or if you’re seriously hungry. . Melt with the cheeeeeeesy thin-crust pizza topped with chicken and rice cake. Grill into the the marinated squid and continue to fry with the soft yet crunchy cheese tempura, which was absolutely delicious might I add. Mash with one of the faves; takoyaki, which never fails to satisfy your taste buds.
Smelcupcakes
So much deliciousness. What's great about the electronic menu too is you get a photo of each meal. It may be an acquired taste, but I love the Japanese pizza. It's basically a heap of cheese on kebab bread. Yermz. it's all sweet value too for Japanese in the city.

Lantern by Wagaya in the Sydney CBD is the sister restaurant of Wagaya at Haymarket and offers karaoke as well as dining. On offer is a large variety of Japanese food so it's good for decently sized groups who are happy to share! The popular touch screen ordering method is used and allows for efficiency and a bit of amusement. And lets be honest here, I'm all for it because I get my food quicker! Squid Butter Saute ($9.70) The serving of squid was generous, well seasoned. I was pleasantly surprised to find creamy buttery mushrooms with the squid. Overall, a lovely entrÊe. Kaarage Chicken ($8.30) Another classic Japanese entrÊe. The chicken arrived hot, was well seasoned, crispy, tender and juicy. Takoyaki ($7.80) Takoyaki is a popular Japanese street snack. It's golf ball sized shell encasing a creamy filling with small pieces of octopus was delicious and a personal favourite. Scallop & Garlic Fried Rice ($12.10) To be honest, this dish was slightly disappointing. I was looking forward to juicy soft scallops as promised on the image displayed but instead found really small pieces of dried scallop. As well, the rice arrived in a hot stone pot and we made the mistake of not stirring it up until we started eating it so there was a layer extra crispy rice on the exterior. Overall a pretty good meal. Contributed by Katrina

Japanese food…along with Karaoke AT THE SAME TIME!! Love the idea…but what do I do first? Eat or sing? Can’t do it at the same time can I? lol… The place is not old…so the rooms are still clean and neat… The food comes very quickly actually…you order on the touch screen…similar menu to what you get at Wagaya…so tastes good… The songs there are quite new, English and Chinese , but not sure about the other languages… Price isn’t too expensive, if you planned a night out to eat and karaoke, it’ll cost the same separate…so not bad…not bad…

The menu is pretty much the same as Wagaya and so there are so many options, that it is probably better to come with a group of people so you can try as many dishes as possible!
Retrodaze
It is located on the second level of the Sun Tower building, close to the World Square area of George Street. We didn't make a reservation so had to wait about fifteen minutes for a table. I didn't mind though because we ended up getting a great table overlooking George Street.

We order the popular Strawberry Lover flavour to share and watch another pair of two girls a couple of tables down from us nom the toast with ease. It's a massive cube that is half a loaf of toasted bread with chunkier finger-sized pieces inside.

For those who might be thinking, hey isn’t that in the same building where Greenbox Plus Karaoke is - well yes and no, because they’ve vamoosed and Lantern by Wagaya has taken over that space! Even if you’re not keen on karaoke and just looking for a cheap & delicious feed, the Wagaya team has a restaurant area down the back (I think they even have lunch specials too!) . Self-shot reflections from the gold mirrors inside the pink speaker cones! Hygiene is an important factor as the microphones are used by everyone & anyone which means germs are free flowing. I was real pleased to see they had given us microphone covers in little plastic wrappings so w

I couldn’t go past the chicken karaage set for lunch and had it upgraded with sashimi for an extra $5.The chicken karaage pieces were tender and succulent. It looks more dry than it tastes.

Lantern is the latest 'Izakaya' (type of Japanese drinking establishment which also serves food to accompany the drinks) styled restaurant by Wagaya. It features little booths with touch screen menus or you can book a karaoke room so you can sing and eat at the same time.

Deep fried chicken at the press of a button. Have we arrived in some kind of heaven? The beauty of the touchscreen menu at Wagaya is not just the ease of ordering (no need to flag down disinterested waitstaff) but the lightning speed at which it arrives. Lantern by Wagaya is the newest offering by Wagaya, the touchscreen izakaya-style restaurant opposite the Entertainment Centre. Lantern by Wagaya is not the easiest place to find -- hidden on the second floor of the Sun Tower complex on George St -- but regulars of the former Greenbox Karaoke will know the drill. It sits across the road from World Square - keep an eye out for the signboard on the footpath and take the lift to level two. Booths and lanterns The interior has been given a fancy facelift, the elevator doors opening to a dramatic wooden archway. There's a view of the kitchen before you're led past the corridor of intergalactic neon-lit karaoke rooms and then a dedicated dining room at the back. Dark timber booths, hanging l

Minimum charge misleading. Firstly the food is awful and sushi is dry. Secondly the receptionist is misleading information as we asked them a price of a VIP room if it's a capped or minimum expense. They didn't tell us any details, just a fixed price. Eventually it's a minimum expense and we paid more than expected. Staffs are trained to hide price information therefore anyone who attends Wagaya, make sure the staffs' dorgy and trcky words. It's their best technique to rip off customers.

This place is good but if only it opened at 1030 or 11am so then I could start lunch and karaoke earlier rather than later.
Tyler
Some of the worst quality sushi I have ever had. Also while trying to eat dinner the karaoke doors fling open every couple minutes bombarding you with loud music. Seafood in the ramen was not fresh, not even edible. I think for drunken karaoke this place would be fine, but avoid if you are looking for a decent dinner or date spot.

Last night was my first time at Lantern by Wagaya but I had previously been to the Wagaya in Newtown and Chinatown. Food was delicious and was brought out quickly. My favourites are spider rolls, takoyaki and agedashi tofu. Hoping to return to Wagaya soon.

Good value for meal and karaoke!. We had a bunch of friends eating and singing away - why? Because the karaoke is free if you eat enough food. And it was quite good value for what you get, and the food was generally quite good. Enjoyed the sushi's and the ice-creams. The singing was another matter... that can be improved hahahah....
Anna
First time coming here and the service was poor. They actually have chinese waiters inside the restaurant and not japanese. You would think a japanese restaurant would have japanese waiters. When the food came they did not ask us which meal belongs to who they just placed it anyway. Did not even tell us the name of the dish. Worst service ever!! Food was appalling, the rice was hard as a rock. We ordered rainbow roll tuna was not even fresh.
Robbie_niler
Had my bucks night there last night. Everything was brilliant me and the boys very enjoyed it. Would be perfect if we are allowed to smoke in the room haha

RIP OFF!!!!. I called up to make a booking for 10ppl but they didnt have a room so they gave us an 8ppl room and that was fine. They told us that if we spend over $400 that we'd get the room for free. So we spent over $650 thinking we'd get the room for free as they had told us prior. But when it came time to pay, they charged us an extra $100 for room hire. so nearly $800 all up for room hire and food that was overpriced. So we explained to them the situation and the manager in charge for the night was extremely rude and told us she couldnt do anything about it because the girl who'd told us about the price was 'not here' on the night. would definitely never go here again. there are other places like CEO where the rooms are much more spacious for the same or a cheaper price.

OMG. What a good place to have fun and enjoy great food and service. The whole experience was unbelievable, we had a great time. Thank you......

Will not go there forever!!!. For sure I will not recommend to any of friend about this place, as we have a terrible experience about the service they provide. It’s the first time and ever that I hear a men’s voice (one of the stuff working there) from the ladies that asked all ladies in the toilets to hurry up. I am strongly not recommended anyone of you to go there because you won’t get what you paid for. And seriously, hear men’s voice form ladies’ is really disgusting which I really think it’s not acceptable. And other friend was having a little fight with the stuff there as they are very rude to them. End up we don’t have a good impression about the place and for sure that we will not come back. In fact, we will send our compliant letter to consumer afire about this place because all 6 of us were treat badly in this place.

My dining partner and I stumbled upon this little hide away as we were looking for something different. Great decor and good food. Loved the self ordering touch screen tv's. and food was reasonably priced. Staff are a little standoff-ish as if they didn't want to be there but still nice to us. Karaoke rooms were also avaliable.
Choong
Interesting. Interesting place for jap and sing a few songs
Tari
Absolutely shocking. Chicken was raw, rainbow sushi is disgusting and we were yelled at for asking for water. Don't come here.
Iloveeggs
Took them 30minutes to serve us even though it wasn't busy. The proportions were also exceptionally smaller compared to the other Wagaya. Not worth the money you pay.

Karaoke!. This is a great place for a karaoke session and dinner... extensive food and drinks menu and plenty of good songs. The rooms are also fantastically appointed. My only disappointment was that when we booked this venue for a birthday, we were unsure of whether we would need the room for 2 hours or 3. They told me that we had the option of extending on the evening if needed. However, when we arrived, they told me that they has booked another party straight after us and that that option was no longer available. Other than that, very happy with the choice and it turned out to be a fun evening and good value for money.

Great Concept and design!!. Well, to be honest, at first my friends and I were just looking to sing Karaoke at Greenbox (which called Lantern By Wagaya now), while we were ready to leave once we found out greenbox does not exist anymore, a bunch of people just kept flowing in to Lantern, that drove us curious about the shop, the newly renovated wagaya is just mad, the songs are incredibly updated, foods are tasty and reasonbly priced, the service is quick even tho when they are busy, hope they can keep that way! The main point is the whole sydney we've got only 2 karaoke restaurant like this and compare to Mizuya, which located not far away from Lantern, Lantern is way more better in terms of price, foods and songs~ seriously 200 dollars for 6 of us including all foods and drinks and 3 hours karaoke just a great deal!! we will definetely go back next time!
