I know what you're hoping for: one of those places which have mounds and mounds of fresh veggies up front, a few different kinds of noodles, ditto sauces, and a team of wok pros frying it all up.
Unfortunately this isn't quite up to it. The meat in both our dishes was undercooked, and the vegetables were very sparse. It didn't feel like a healthy meal.
I visited at a somewhat quiet part of the day --- but regardless, unfortunately I have to give it 2.5 stars, rounded down to 2.

Fantastic special fried rice and combo chow mein. Special fried rice is not like other cheap versions that add peas and cheap ham or luncheon meat as fillers. Rice is filled with prawns, char siu pork, and other meats. Fried rice you can taste the nice smokey taste which is a result of the heat of the wok at high temperature referred too " The dragons breath" from the high flames hitting the wok. Staff always throw in fortune cookies free when I ask for my children ( I have 5 kids) Always accomodating and staff are friendly . No I am not paid to leave a review. I'm a new local to Glebe who decided to give these guys a try.I used to travel 40 mins out west to go and get genuine fried for my family now I don't travel anymore because Wok Express is as close as you will get when ordering Special combo fried rice. My kids agree with me too. I highly recommend. It's a little bit further to travel out too against all the other restaurants in the main part of Glebe. But that's a good thing. Kids menu is also affordable at $6 3 options to choose from with with decent sized portions which is worth the value in a box all kids meals come with chips. Check them out ! No this is not a paid review. Just a genuine foodie who loves great food and will leave honest reviews for when I encounter great food.Not sure why these guys have gotten bad reviews, I almost made the same mistake of not ordering from here. But thankful I decided to not take it at face value. Don't take my review and opinion on this, check it out yourself.

Would not visit again, cutlery and tables were dirty and I found the menu above quite difficult to read. Their was one man serving us who had earphones in after we ordered, i didn’t like him. Food was alright, was affordable.

Food is absolutly stone cold, both the honey chicken and lemon chicken were dry. Special fried rice is gluggy and under seasoned. Only thing edible is the beef and black bean noodles (well, edible but tastes crap). We tried calling the shop and after 2 attempts they answered and said they would refund $5 for the chopsticks. We then recieved a call saying that the driver cannot make it out and they would refund the $5 into our account and asked for our details.
$45 WASTED. Now we have jack all money to order actual DECENT food.
Would like this sorted by Monday morning. $45 worth of "Chinese" going in the BIN!

Express? We would love to sample the food but two hours after ordering the delivery has not arrived - called the restaurant twice, no apology. I'm not confident that we will even receive our dinner tonight...

Awful experience from start to finish, food took over 1.5 hours with no sign, I called twice to ask where it was and they were unable to assist me and the food took another 30 mins to arrive. The order was incorrect and the food wasn't great, very bland and tasteless. Would not buy from again.

Had a great experience with takeaway recently however the business hours as stated online are incorrect. Was disappointed to arrive with a friend for dinner to find the store closed at 8:15pm (online said 4:30-9:30pm).
