Review Pyrmont Kebab - Sydney

I went here for the first time in night time and I had super tiring day and exhausted. I was so hungry and cold at that time and. I was not well. As soon as I entered in , one staff look young greeted me very kindly and I felt so good. He was just very innocent and service was so nice. He respect all of customer so much and always smile. His the way of talk was very impressive and makes me feel warm. I see this kind of person very rarely. Almost none. I was very impressed of him today. And I realised it would be nice if there are many people like him in a the world not only business place generally. And he said he is Vietnamese. He made me think good image of Vietnamese now.

Walking down to the Harbour we felt like having something lite, so we stopped over and had the chicken kebab. It was so tasty. It was a Thursday night and one staff working. Had to wait for a bit its all worth it 👌

Was in sydney for a business trip and this is one the few places that were open when i arrived at the hotel. The food was good. The prices on the signboard outside were different than the inside. Not sure if this was intended but overall the kebab and chips were good

I’ve eaten a gozleme with spinach and cheese. It was a bit too oily but one of the two sauces included was tasty. The service was very quick.

Pretty average quality, prices have increased lately and definitely not worth the $12 price tag for a basic kebab.

Horrible kebabs - where’s the meat? Also received completely cold chips. Thankfully Uber eats provided a refund. Avoid.

Came here after a night out & wasn’t expecting much by the looks of it but I was pleasantly surprised with my kebab combo. Kebab was quite flavoursome & chips were fresh.

Cons; - Kebabs under filled - Lettuce is old - Tomato is old - Garlic sauce was curdled, possibly off? - Falafel was dry and crumbly Pros: - Chips are great

The kebab was just put together and lacked any taste or texture. Was disappointed:(
The Next Rush
There really is no escaping the no frills and cheap thrills from kebabs that skewer many of the posh options in the area. Comfort food at its best, it’s great in theory but somehow dissatisfying and satisfying at the same time. Crispy outer casing, moist centre in the fish and chips; and it’s the Tahini sauce binding the base of chips to the lamb and chilli sauce that make the snack pack a dream.

Worst customer service I have ever seen. Very rude staffs especially the guy with specs. Food was also below average and expensive shit. The restaurant runs only because of drunkards of Pyrmont Bridge hotel.

Now I thought Enfes was bad but this place is even worse! Got their $9 chicken kebab and this was very bad. They only lightly toasted the wrap, chicken was extremely salty and the veggies were just old. I couldn’t finish it and ended up throwing it out. They also give you much less than Enfes (who sells it for $11). I tried to get a kebab here a week ago and ended up buying nothing because the staff did not know how to cook the chicken (shaved it off before it cooked on the rotisserie) and was told off by his boss in front of me. Grill wasn’t warm enough for them to cook it so I told them to not worry about it. Won’t be back here.

My first meal after landing at Sydney was at Pyrmont Kebabs.

It was Sunday and already late. So we walked around to see if there is any place for dinner but most of the places were closed n the rest were closing down.

So we asked around and finally came to Pyrmont Kebabs. Good thing is that they were open and serving food. So we didnt have to sleep hungry.

But I must say that the food was quite at bottom on a scale of taste and high up on the scale of price if compared to taste, quantity and ambiance.

We ordered Chicken Kebab Plate. Though the chicken was soft and cooked well, the Hummus sauce that they spread over it was awful. It was runny, bland and had no traces of garlic or olive oil. Rather than adding a flavour to chicken, hummus took it all away.

It's better to not touch what's universally classic than to serve a mess on the plate.

Disgusting! There is very poor hygiene - no gloves at all when preparing food.

Rude service, don't mention any additional charge depends on sauces.

No taste in kebabs, they even don't care to make them hot.

Overall terrible experience, will never buy again and recommend you to avoid them.

John Chen

in the last week
DO NOT GO THERE. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. THEY ALMOST STOLE MY MONEY.

I went to this place last night, the place was full of drunk people and there were three guys working at the kitchen and the register. I ordered one beef snack pack and waited at the seat. Just because at the other kebab restaurant, I've always waited until I get called so I decided to wait. I waited about 15minutes and the food had not come, thus I proceeded to the kitchen and asked if they were still cooking my food or not. One of the guys said "I've already given you the food." I replied as "No I didn't. Now I want my money back because I need to go somewhere soon." But what they replied me just shocked me. One of the guys told me that he had given the food to someone else, it was my fault that I waited at the seat and I was a liar and not welcomed here. They consisted of one manager and two other workers. They kept saying "You are a liar.", "You are not welcomed here." and "There are customers here so get out.".

It took me 15 minutes to get my money back. Please guys. Do not enter this place.

If you've had a falafel at this place then congratulations because you've tasted the worst one in Sydney. Obviously these guys have no clue what a falafel means hence they treat it as a pita bread roll wrapped with random stuff ie. Whatever is available on the counter. The wrap and falafel is dry , hummus has no flavour and the chili sauce is abysmal.

I ordered delivery and had to walk two blocks to meet the man because apparently driving around the corner was too difficult. Two items were missing and the kebab was not wrapped and fell apart.

With a very limited places to get kebabs on this side of town... you unfortunately have to turn to a place like this...The place feels unloved and just a dingy kebab store (like the masses you’d find along George Street in the CDB). The pricing is slightly higher for what they're offering as well possibly due to the higher rent in Pyrmont. The service isnt that friendly. The food is ok... quite a mediocre kebab... but I guess if you're craving it then you really dont have much choice... unless you’re willing to walk back into the city

Other places you can try would be inside Harbourside where the service is friendlier but the quality is quite on par... and at the Star there's a slightly higher-end kebab hit that you could do but I have gotten food poisoning from there once… could have just been unlucky..
