Review The Gozleme Co - Sydney

Kathryn Kovacinski
Gozleme Co. offered a deal on Scoopon for a breakfast gozleme with coffee or water. I was shocked when my colleague and I redeemed them to find that coffee wasn't even an option. And, I want given the opportunity to change it for a soda or juice. False advertising and unaccommodating staff.

Super fresh gozleme, good sized portions without being too heavy. I eat here at least once a week now. Great meat and vegetarian options. Wendy at the counter always super friendly!

Yes that's right I'm scoring it a 5.0! By Fast Food standards this is pretty good so put your fine dining caps and Michelin critique away because the team here led by the lovely Wendy who personally serves you takes pride in the fact the dough used for her pita breads and gozleme are made fresh on a daily basis using and promoting Australian sourced produce for their fillings! So I was all geared up for the PERI PERI chicken Gozleme as I was curious to see how they interpreted this into the classic Gozleme and boy did it not disappoint! Amazing the moist chicken pieces bathing in the saucy filling of crushed chillies, citrus peel, onion, pepper, salt, lemon juice, bay leaves, paprika, pimiento, basil, oregano, and tarragon. LOOOOOVE THIS! I get excited with hybrid meals like this - because they've literally smashed together Turkey and Portugal into a freshly baked pocket of dough! Simple and Tasty! The Mezza dips however stole the show for me, served with sliced pita, your tastebuds are treated to a trio of flavours. Hommus which everyone knows and loves, Cacik (now even though the ingredients are the same as that in the Greek Tzatziki, it's all in the type of yoghurts use, this is the main reason you'll need to try this), and finally Capsicum and Chilli which is in a pesto-like form with a sundried-tomato kind of texture - AMAZE BALLS PEOPLE! Snack time, lunch time - these are too good to pass by!Here's a bit of Trivia for you, did you know the word Goz which the Gozleme is derived from means compartment in Turkish?

Consistent and quick, made fresh daily. Good for lunch. The “Mexican” is apparently the freshest because they can’t pre-make them due to the fresh nature of the ingredients (guacamole) - I get mine without Jalapeños.

I had ordered a vege fix, there was Not enough filling in the Gozleme.

Worst gozleme I ever had. Wasn’t even cooked.

I am really unhappy with my experience. My colleague and I purchased a voucher for a breakfast gozleme and coffee or water. When we redeemed the vouchers, coffee wasn't even an option allowed to us. And, we couldn't exchange the coffee offer for juice or soda. We would have never purchased the voucher knowing that the advertised coffee wasn't available. Very poor advertising on your part.

Have tried their gozleme several times and it’s delish. Have recently tried their assorted baklava and wow.. love it! All favours are delicious but my favourites are the original and chocolate.
Tortuguita Comiendo
Maybe I picked the wrong gozleme but I felt like the sucuk gozleme was small and didn't have much fillings. For $10 it wasn't value for money.

The service was good and efficient and the food was ready quickly.
Love At First Bite
Find us on instagram: loveatfirstbite_aus

Great Gozleme chain in Martin Place, we got a Scoopon deal that was $5 for a breakfast gozleme with sucuk, mushroom, egg and feta cheese and a bottle of water, so it was great value and tasted delicious!

This outlet is in the MLC Centre food court. A reliable choice for gozleme. The service was jovial and quick.

Went with the Tenderised Beef Gozleme. It was tasty and the squeeze of lemon makes it tastier. Nice bits of feta in it.

Bloody love this gozleme!! Peri peri chicken with extra sauce on top for the win! Delish and such quick and friendly service. The feta and spinach is also a nice choice. And wait for it... they have Nutella goz for dessert!!!
Johnny Pan
One of the most popular places to grab lunch at the MLC food court. All the gozlemes are good value and the service is very quick. The fillings always are quite fresh.
Food Is Really Great
My last experience with a gozleme at another restaurant was practically swimming in grease, so I was more than happy to find that these gozlemes aren't oily but still have lots of flavour. The gozleme was ready in less than 10 minutes despite crazy lunchtime crowds. Veggie Delight is $9 and full of a variety of ingredients. The feta is creamy and abundant but very salty. This is a great option for a quick light lunch which you can eat on the go.

It is a perfect lunch option if you’re feeling very hungry, as the combination of fillings and pastry is sure to leave you feeling stuffed. Not only are there savoury options, but the Gozleme Co team also offer baklavas, banana & honey gozleme and nutella gozleme!

The gozleme here is nice and a great option for lunch. The pita with mezze dips was great. The customer service is friendly and the food comes out quickly. I highly recommend the spinach and cheese gozleme.

I had Turkish gozleme before, I had peri peri chicken before, but I never had gozleme with peri peri chicken fillings. It was a nice change from the standard spinach and cheese mix. It was piping hot and the bread was thin and fresh. They also do sweet gozleme, it definitely adds a modern twist to the traditional Turkish street food.
