Should be better rated! Fantastic sizzling, came in no time, food is very flavourful and tasty. 赞 ! 👍

I loved their singapuri noodles and roti with grounded flavored meat (tasted like good Mexican tacos to me). Overall a tiny place where you will certainly hear people around you even if they’re speaking in very low decibel. Table were bit sticky but food was absolutely fantastic.

I bought the oyster sauce chicken and rice. The rice was hard and flavour was very plain. It tastes old like it was sitting in the container for a while. Would not recommend.

very nice fast and delicious food. Must try the spicy and tasty chicken. I like it better than spicy chicken.

We came to have spicy chicken twice and both times you guys were closed. So disappointing. Your google shows you are open until 8:30 and we went today at 6:30 and you were closed. Just update your hours and avoid this inconvenience for your customers.

I came here on a monday arvo ordered some spicy chicken and rice. The order took some 10 minutes to get ready. Loved the food so much. Wish they had a bit more seating spaces, seems a bit cramped. But overall its a 5 outta 5.

The spicy eggplant was chopped in uneven size. The big piece wasn't cooked through, small ones were fine. It was a buring hot dish. If you intend to have lunch break but have limited time, don't go, your gum will get blisters. The quantity was generous though, if you can't finish it and wish to have take away, prepare some changes, credit card charge will be 50 cents per transaction.

I love passing by this restaurant after work! They make the best “Hot and sour beef noodle soup”. I like the sour soup based. Best bowl to have on a cold rainy day. What I also love is that I get to takeaway rice with pork, beef or fish for the next working day. Already I have food prepared for me the next few days! Such good comfort food for any day of the week!!!!!!!!

Always a fan of sizzling meals! I really like how big the portion is per meal. When me and my partner tried it for the first time, we said that one meal order is good for 2 people already but good thing we were hungry that time. Will definitely recommend if you crave for something hot and delicious 😋

Mongolian Beef is really good. The Spicy Sour Fish Soup is amazing, one of my favorite dishes anywhere. Serving sizes are really gigantic, yo will not go hungry

Been here for the first time and won't come back again. I came along with two friends and we ordered 3 different dishes and shared it together ( Mongolian beef , salt n pepper squid, chili oil fish) Taste wasn't great, squid and fish tasted like they've been frozen for 3 months before serving you almost taste like deep fried eraser has no seafood flavor at all, beef tasted okay but still you can get something like this with half the price in a takeaway food court. Like if you wanted to open a restaurant try source fresh ingredients not the frozen one.

I have been here a few times and food is pretty mediocre at best. Great thing about this place though is that it’s pretty cheap (food court food prices) and they serve their food on sizzling plates. Not spicy if you’re looking for something really hot and all dishes come really greasy. Recently I came to get the spicy fish fillets take away. This was pretty bland and not spicy at all. Some sourness came out from the pickled cabbage they put in the broth but overall, was an ok dish. If you feel like a greasy Chinese feed this may be a great place to stop by. However, if you’re after a sizzling hot plate I’d recommend going to the one in the Chinatown food court (both Dixon and the one upstairs) as those are better choices.

Fast, cheap chinese food that is made to order.

I felt like a thin sliced beef with chilli oil sauce. It definitely hit the spot, just enough chilli's and numbness with beef that was tender and not tough.

Food came out within 5 minutes and if there is no space to eat you can sit at the noodle shop next door (looks like they might be owned by the same people or share the same kitchen - who knows).
Those Who Love To Eat
This place is cheap as chips and rather tasty. When you are craving for something satisfying and filling or you're on a site string budget, this is a good place to come and feed yourself for cheap.
Sometimes, just sometimes, cheap eat is the most therapeutic thing for the soul. Have you had those moments when... cooking is so mich more of an effort, and buying ingredients to cook is going to cost more than buying a bowl of wonton noodles and being served the food to you. It's a very local key eatery, with thrown together interior, and if you can over look that, you will be rewarded with a satisfying meal.
If you don't feel like eating noodles, you can head next door which belongs to the same people I guess, and order a stir fried dish that comes on a hot plate. Because it is Sichuan cuisine, it tends to be on the more spicier side (so if you cannot take spice, this eatery might be an issue).
The choice of dishes are endless. You could come here once a week and not get through the whole menu! Never a dull palate moment.
This used to be such a great little eatery. Had something like spicy beef with noodles, their most popular dish, tonight. Might the the worst Chinese food I've ever eaten and I've eaten a lot. Not recommended.

They offer quick service and really generous servings. The food is spicier than other Asian restaurants in town. Good value for money. Do not have high expectations and you will be pleasantly surprised.

If you like spicy food - the tasty and spicy prawns should definitely be on your list of things to try! Generous portions and really well cooked prawns

I had the Sichuan pepper lamb which looked quite nice when it was served sizzling on the plate. The taste of the meat was good, but the vegetables were fairly average tasting and there was far too much onion. Taking the onion out, there isn't much left on the plate. Service was prompt and food for our group of 5 was served in under 10 minutes. The restaurant was reasonably busy. There are tables for 2, 4 and 6 but it was still a bit tricky to find a table for our group because of one or two people sitting at the larger tables. They also use the Rewardle system, which from memory will give you a free drink after 4 or 5 meals. Overall a satisfactory experience. I may return to try a different dish.

Newly found cheap eats around uni: so far best place to get huge portion with tiny price.

Daylight savings is here and our beer-ological clocks kick in. Yikes. What is it about an extra hour of daylight that turns us into alchoes-in-training? We don't know. But we do know that DY Sizzling Hot Pot has the same magical beer-soaking properties as the kebab. There's something about this place that makes us feel like we're in China: the decor is purely functional; it's full of Chinese folks; and there's six lanes of traffic outside. The food is filling, spicy and oily by design.
I Ate My Way Through
One of my most favourite dishes to have here is number 54: chicken in chilli sauce ($9.90) which is Chinese cabbage and bean sprouts tangled within pieces of tender chicken, in a soup-like sauce. The additional fried chillis on top add oomph to the already red soup but don't worry if you can't handle the heat - it looks much hotter than it tastes! I think it's because the Chinese cabbage and bean sprouts tone down the chilli, but still, it's damn good!

Alway great food! Love th.... Alway great food!

Love their spicy chicken, and spicy beef (though watch out it's very high in chilli)

Their satay chicken and salt and pepper squid are also great dishes.

Have been going to this place for years, and yet to be dissatisfied

Great Asian food!. This place located in Broadway provides brilliant asian food, that is both reasonable and convenient. I had the spicy seafood, which was delicious yet very hot. I highly recommend to all.

Horrible experience. Had my doubts about this restaurant because it was operated by some pretty dodgy staff and a boss that indulges in gambling . but yet still decided to give it a try in good faith, and expectedly, it was a major dissapointment. the meat is cooked in cheap oil that comes bottled in big metal tins that are directed imported from China (sewage oil perhaps?)

This place also refused to serve any tap water, stating that the customers must buy the bottled water from their fridge. Just what kind of restaurant does that? And isnt it against the law anyway to not provide any free water if liquor is being sold on the premise? when i nicely confronted the cashier about it, she gave me the worst attitude ever and then went on to ignoring me "sorry, you must buy the bottled water, no free water, my boss said" wtf?. and as mentioned by another reviewer here, the vegetable in the dishes are cheap and scarce. will not be returning to this place EVER

Lacking any real quality.... ...the servings appear generous at a glance, but what appeared to be over processed imitation 'seafood', combined with horrible 'sizzling' vegetables were terrible. It appears as though the cheapest possible ingredients are used at DY Sizzling Hot Pot?

I was not expecting much, just looking for good value... didn't get that here sorry. Ugh...

I don't know why I come here: staff ignores you and makes you wait. Fried rice has nothing in it.
