First time buying from doughboy. Small clean shop which offers an option to eat in unlike at bigger chains where tables n seats can be grimy. Prices are close to ‘gourmet’ style pizza. They offer gluten free bases, healthier wholemeal spelt bases n the like. I opted for the normal base XL garlic prawn. Ok so the prawns were wee sparse, what little prawns there were, were fresh thankfully. Toppings worked well though a little flat taste wise. The thin base was awesome. Glad they didnt try to make it hard n crispy but soft n chewy. Nyum.

Great pizza bases, so many options too choose 😋

Ordered delivery, we live pretty close by and the order took around 40-45 mins so I thought they were busy but when the pizza turned up cold I realised they'd forgotten to give it to the delivery guy. Vegan cheese was cheap type and uncooked, pineapple was weird and dry, I don't understand the good reviews on here.. would have been better to buy a pizza from the supermarket and cook myself as had to re-heat anyway. So many better places about.

Dough Boy has consistently great pizza and a ton of options. Their delivery is on-time, and the online ordering system is easy to use. The actual restaurant is a bit small and designed more to be take-away. With that said there are a few tables at the restaurant if you choose to dine in. All around great pizza and highly recommend.

The people here were amazing!! I wanted a mushroom cheese and garlic bread that wasn't on the menu but the amazing staff made it happen anyways. I had a lovely employee (Tim, legend) make it and it was better than I ever expected. The staff had a great chat with me and made me feel like I was one of the family. Don't go anywhere else!!!!

Awesome firewood pizzas with a thin base and delicious toppings. We had half n half 4 cheese and Gillian's Island, it was very tasty and made with premium, fresh ingredients. The waiter was extremely friendly.

Great spot and friendly staff. Balboa on the spelt base is my favourite. Much better than your average pizza joint, good quality and reasonably priced. Love the pizza paddles as well

Although I was one hour late, they reheated my pizza and put garlic oil on it to make it less dry. I really love the bases they cover on their menu and the service is just extraordinary! Thank you.

Allowing for delivery time, they had a good crispish base and, just for laughs, I got one in spelt and it's actually pretty good - heavier but tasty and good for holding the shape, definitely a good option for anyone with the relevant dietary requirement. They have a great variety of toppings but they were a bit sparse and didn't seem to make much of a cohesive flavour. The prices are standard but the deals can be good value, noting that the large pizzas aren't all that large.

I have never heard of a wholemeal spelt pizza base before but I was keen to try. I love pizzas but because I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, they tend to flare me up. This place was also appealing because they do organic moroccan spiced lamb and free range pork and fennel sausage, both of which we ordered on a half and half pizza (oh yeah!). I am in love with their pizzas. They're tasty and healthier and I did not get a flare up afterwards. Would definitely come back. The staff is super nice too and I thought the pricing was right.

P.S It is a small, cosy place with very limited seating and the waiting was a bit long as they were busy with takeaway and delivery orders.

Our visit saw us dine in, however Doughboy are REALLY popular with the home delivery crowd. If you’re in the area, we’d suggest getting your pizza delivered. Their menu (which is plastered top to bottom on a wall) is huge, with a few dozen pizza and side options. It made deciding a tough task, but we got there in the end.

Love At First Bite
Doughboy is a speciality pizza chain with many stores in Sydney including Bondi and the one I visited, Surry Hills. They are famous for their thin and crispy pizzas and the variety of toppings there are to choose from and we could not resist dropping by for dinner one night. To start off with we ordered one of their extra large pizzas and because we could not choose between two flavours, we asked for half and half. One half was the Balbao with double smoked ham, sopressa salami, pepperoni, chorizo and caramelised onion, topped with home made smokey BBQ sauce. This is the equivalent of their meat lovers and was one of my favourites, the slightly sweet and tangy BBQ sauce went well with the delicious and fresh meats.

Doughboy Pizza is a bit of an institution in Sydney. First opened in Bondi, it has now expanded through the Eastern Suburbs and Surry Hills. You might associate Doughboy Pizza with home delivery, and you’re right! They’ve been delivering freshly made pizzas for years now, but we visited Doughboy Pizza in Surry Hills recently and dined in.

This is a pizza joint that does seriously good quality pizzas. With outlets in the Eastern Suburbs and City - you can now grab one or three to take home and chow down on. Starting with some spice we tuckered into the Diavola Heat and Chilli Prawn pizzas. These were nicely spiced and with a crispy thin base, created quite a dent in our hunger pains. As I am not always one for heat we followed this up with the salsiccia and truffle oil. This was hands down my favourite - pork and fennel sausage, spinach, oil and roasted garlic. WOW, a classic flavour combination on another perfect base. With plenty of options and a range of salads, sides and desserts you will leave more than satisfied. With the ability to order via the many food delivery apps - gee up a few of these bad boys for a night in front of the box with a glass of wine, down on the beach watching the sun disappear or throwing a rug out for a picnic dinner in the park.

Best vegan pizza with cheese that isn't the yucky type of vegan cheese, but one that makes the pizza taste like nice pizza! Base is great too and highly recommend trying.

Best pizza I've had since being in Sydney (and I've tried a few). Went on recommendation and wasn't disappointed. This will be my regular pizza place when I'm in town.

We've visited Doughboy several times and have always been impressed by the quality and standard of their pizzas. Though it is a bit pricy when compared to other pizza shops it is, without doubt, worth it.
Our personal favourite pizzas are the Stella, Americano and Chilli Prawn Pizza and also a special mention to their Caesar and Scarlett Salad which we also love! We will be returning to Doughboy soon!

WOW! The pizza is so light and amazing. Wonderful service really friendly and absolutely delicious gourmet pizzas! Ata and Shaun were great hosts. A must if you love good pizza!

Unfortunately I received one of the worst pizza I've ever had...and with delivery it skinned me $32 bucks! It was cold, bland and with a stark lack of the principle ingredient, prosciutto. I was so disappointed. Saving grace was the delivery lad who was lovely. The pie however...anything but.

The Pizza here was so good, thin and crispy with really good toppings.
We came across this place walking down Crown St (I think it's quite new) and sat in the window (just a few stools only) and then had delivery the following week. Quick delivery, friendly service and best take-out pizza we've had.
