So Disappointed. Placed order on Sunday 5.30pm for 6.30pm delivery. Food finally arrived at 8.15pm. Driver informed they kept him waiting for 30mins, when starting the order 1 hour past delivery time.
Restaurant doesn’t even have a number to call and check up on things. Never again…..

The people are good, essy parking for take away. Unfortunately I found the food slightly tasteless. Maybe they need a second chef or to adjust the cooking. But nice people.

Will not be ordering from here again.. $26 for 6 tiny frozen prawn cutlets which are dry and tasteless.. come on guys?

Good local spot for a typical ‘Chinese takeaway’ fix. Sometimes the meat in their dishes don’t seem quite fresh though.

Absolutely amazing. Just the kind of heartwarming food i needed during this pandemic. Wait times can be a bit long when it gets busy as theres only one chef. However, they definitely deliver on the taste aspect! Hard working family and definitely worth a try if youre ever in the area for some authentic affordable chinese cuisine.
Highly recommend the dried fried rice noodle with beef!

Save your money!!!
We just ordered from here via Ubereats and immediately knew that we couldn’t eat it. There was a big hair in the pork dish and the chicken was like plastic.
Don’t recommend. Was a waste of time and money. The bean sprouts dish smelt so bad and off it actually made me feel a little sick.
With little Chinese takeaway options on ubereats in this area we are incredibly disappointed and expect so much better in terms of hygiene and quality.

Braised beef was amazing, staff are very friendly too. Will defently return.
Oh no! I'm sorry but I have to edit my review I gave 5 stars a few days ago but just ordered the braised beef again and it was cheap sizzling steak. I give this meal a 2 stars and the first meal a 5 star.

Lemon Chicken was decent. I ordered fried rice and it came with Prawns. Prawns were not on the list on Uber Eats. I called the restaurant to rectify and he just said that's the way it is, didn't offer a replacement. I'm highly allergic to shellfish. I won't be coming to this restaurant again.

We used to order from this restaurant all the time. But the quality has significantly dropped. We ordered through an app and they didn’t confirm the order, after calling twice and being hung up on. The helpline for the app said the food wasn’t even ready after an hour of ordering. Poor and rude service. Won’t ever bother again.

Poor service and the food was not fresh. Took too long to cook.

Not recommended unless you have an hour to wait for poor quality food.

There are better alternatives in Gordon.

The worst Chinese food I have eaten in 20 years. The BBQ pork dish had only 5 pieces of pork that were hard and dry. The Salt and Pepper Squid was like eating cardboard and the fried rice had a burnt taste. Will never go back. What a waste of money, I feel so ripped off.

Very local restaurants food are cheap and worth the money
Always buy dinner from golden swallow at the time of final when I can't bother to cook

Back in 1998 when I was working in Pymble, I was introduced to a small, humble little Chinese restaurant and its amazing salt and pepper squid. Twelve years on, my friends and I are still going back for our squid fix - and the quality of the squid has rem

Yuck yuck yuck. I have nothing nice to say about our dinning experience at Golden Swallow. The name alone should have been a good enough reason to avoid this place. It was all down hill from there.

We ordered garlic chicken, salt and pepper chicken, Singapore noodles, beef and black bean and fried rice. How a Chinese restaurant can ruin the fried rice is beyond my comprehension but the canned spam, frozen peas and shrimp were terrible.

I could have made a better fried rice at home. The rest of the dishes were swimming in flavorless, gelatinous slimy sauce with the exception of the salt and pepper chicken which, I swear, had no chicken, just soggy corn flour breading.

Simply Best.. I have been a big fan for golden swallow for years!!! There is a wide selection of dishes. I can simply say this restaurant is one of the best chinese restaurants in Sydney! The seafood dishes are a must try as all the seafood is fresh and delicious!

Fantastic value and so tasty. The two must have dishes here is the salt and pepper squid and beef brisket hot pot.

To me, the salt & pepper squid is the best of any Chinese restaurant in Sydney.

The best way to have the beef brisket is to order takeaway, then blanch some fresh wonton noodles and choi sum at home and pour the beef brisket and thick sauce over it - heaven!
