Absolutely amazing steaks and Ribs. Best in Sydney so far.
I do not hesitate to recommend this place to anybody looking for a good steak or ribs.
Justin Freeman
First time the wife and I ate here.
Amazing staff
Amazing food
Amazing prices
You HAVE to get the ribs!
Gavin Holland
The host and wait staff tried very hard to make the experience a good one. But they were let down by the kitchen. The steaks were not cooked as requested and arrived cold and dry with only half the side dishes. The other half were delivered cold about 15mins later. I do feel for the industry right now but a fruit salad of Chinese and Indian wait staff with minimal English and experience shouldnt be part of the I'm Angus experience. Especially at the prices they charge.

Great food; great location; great service; and great music. Thanks to Lenny and his team for a super fun night with quality food. Family of four - parents with teenagers had the best night. Will definitely go back.
Steve Ognenovski
Has a great atmosphere. The speciality is their steaks. And by gosh - the steaks I got were mouth watering.
The service provided by the waitering staff was exceptional as well.
I highly recommended this establishment.

Would give zero stars if I could.
This was absolutely THE WORST restaurant I have ever been to. Started with a hair on the plate. Not only was the service terrible but we were waiting over an hour while the restaurant was almost empty. Was told my steak sandwich had been dropped on the floor and told there was none left (no steak at a steak restaurant?) asked if I could have a complimentary drink because of this and the restaurant manager argued specifically saying “you can’t always get what you want!” The burger I then had to swap my steak sandwich for tasted like it was from a Woolworths packet. Everyone else’s food was cooked terribly, medium rare steak over cooked and medium steak undercooked. Coming from interstate I was very very disappointed by the whole atmosphere, service and food at this restaurant. DO NOT visit I’m Angus steakhouse. You’d be better off getting Uber eats.
Also… charged a massive sur charge and they didn’t let us know

Situated in Cockle bay, overlooking Darling Harbour, the venue is located convieniently off the cockle bay walkway leading to Sydney Acquirium. The meals are priced well, the food was great, the atmosphere amazing and had good mix of 70's/ 80's music. The dining staff was really good at their work, had good knowledge of wine selection, and made suggestions on the chefs specials of the day which I took into consideration. The pork ribs are amazing! Definitely will visit again given the covid situation, I felt for the staff working with only 10 patrons to serve for a restaurant having seating for 200 guests. Highly recommend to visit!!!

Good place to have a team outing. Nice ambience and good food. Maybe due to covid situation, the food and service were a bit out of line. Still overall happy with the evening.

Total waste of money if you are ordering ribs here.<br/>Outside their restaurant they have a board claiming the best Ribs in the harbour area, this claim is highly misleading (I guess you can’t sue them for misleading claims)<br/>The ribs were dry, hard to the bone and just felt stale, considering they horribly pre-cook the ribs, perhaps the final touches to the cooking was done in the microwave.<br/>Unfortunately not a great experience and one thing is sure, I WILL NEVER FOR BACK THERE and will not suggest anyone in my groups to order the Ribs there, ever!!!<br/>DEFINITELY not the best Ribs in the harbour, perhaps not even close to good within 100m of their spot.
Sara
Was treated to a great line up of food at I'm Angus. They had a huge selection of great wine and steaks of course. My ultimate fave would be the kangaroo fillet, cooked to perfection and the jus was just delicious. My choice of entree was the zucchini flowers.. crunchy and creamy the way they should be. Loved it.

Hands down the best steak place in Sydney ! <br/>The staff who helped us out MsLindi was so accommodating even obliged to a certain request we placed with regards to a surprise gift

Let's talk about food.<br/><br/>We ordered from the sunset special menu. A rare angus rump steak, and it was perfectly rare. And that was the only positive thing of the night. It was dry, quite chewy, and way too salty. The peppercorn sauce, well, it's so strong that it overpowers how horrible the steak was, so it's a good thing?<br/><br/>And king prawn fettuccini, but it was uncooked (seriously, uncooked pasta). We hate to waste food, but the pasta was really hard to swallow. The prawn was big, but the sauce was meh.<br/><br/>And the service, was just horrible.<br/><br/>First of all, 55 minutes wait is unacceptable no matter how good the food is. The place wasn't even crowded when i sat down and ordered. They are clearly understaffed, and can't handle that many tables, the staffs were literally sprinting around trying to get the plates to the tables.<br/><br/>After 45 minutes wait, we were getting impatient and tried to get someone to check on our order. We asked 3 different staffs, before the third one actually came back to us with an answer. He explained it's coming, they are just busy, trying to keep a polite tone. Trying being the keyword here, he's obviously stressed and unhappy, and his response was rude, and borderline aggressive.<br/><br/>Never again.
Love At First Bite
I’m Angus is a restaurant part of Nick’s Group located in Cockle Bay Wharf in Darling Harbour that is famous for their high quality wagyu steaks. They have the perfect view of the harbour so we decided to come and dine here for dinner one warm summer night. To start we ordered some cocktails, we ordered their Watermelon Warhead with vodka, watermelon liqueur and Cosmos with vodka, cointreau and cranberry juice. Both were sweet and refreshing, perfect for summer.

Second time back at this place and thought I would write a review this time. I didn't think they could top the first time as it was a 10/10! It was our anniversary dinner. 😊<br/><br/>We ordered the garlic bread to start (can't complain, it was tasty. I don't think you can really mess up a garlic bread!) I ordered the Queensland Scallops with garlic butter. These were even better than my main dish! They were big and juicy and full of flavour, definitely recommend them. I hope they never get rid of this dish!<br/><br/>For mains, we ordered the Angel Hair Pasta with fresh crab and the Grass-Fed T-Bone with chips and a side of steamed broccolini with roasted almonds. The crab and sauce was really delicious but the pasta overcooked really quickly and started to stick all together so it was a bit hard to eat. We ordered the steak without the mash potatoes and roasted onions (their signature serving with the steaks) and I specifically told the waiter to make sure it only comes with chips as my partner doesn't eat mash or onions...ofcourse, it came with 2 onions underneath the steak...he ate it anyway and said it was pretty good. I also got some garlic butter on the side and tried it with his steak. Best combination.<br/><br/>For dessert, we ordered the Ice Cream Sundae. Once we were finished with the mains, I ran off to the waiter and requested for the chef to write "Happy Anniversary" on the dessert. 5 minutes later, a bunch of the waiters came to our table to give us the dessert with sparklers coming out of it and started singing a "Happy Anniversary" song in the middle of the whole restaurant! It was very sweet. 😂❤<br/><br/>Overall, if you're looking to have a relaxing dinner by the Harbour, you should check this joint out. Will be returning to try some of their other steaks. 😀

We never come again! The staff very very rude! Especially the tall guy. We came around 12pm and there was not too many people in here but we wait for the meal more than 40 minutes. We ordered three dishes from the express lunch menu and one rib-eye steak. We bring our parents to came and the staff thought we are Chinese tourists then treated us without patients. Many times I could feel discrimination from the tall guys’ face and talking. I feel very angry and if today not my parents seat in here definitely I will leave. I already share my experience both to the Australia and China social media.

Beautiful waterfront view of the harbour. We've been here a few times, with and without a red balloon voucher, and everytime their service and food we're impeccable. We've had the surf and turf with the lobster tail, and just blown away with the value you get here. Great to see that a restaurant keeps to a standard of service and quality.

& Bar Group - they own venues like Nick's Seafood, Cyren, Adria, Nick's Bar & Grill and Stacks, impressive right?. We all enjoyed cocktails and a mocktail on a Saturday afternoon. What's better than sipping on something sweet whilst overlooking Darling Harbour on a beautiful day? We were seated on the veranda and had prime views of the harbour. Christie had the Tropical Oasis mocktail - it had orange and pineapple juices with passionfruit pulp, mint & pomegranate syrup. Matt had the rosey watermelon paradise cocktail. It has vodka, chambord, lime juice, monin rose syrup, watermelon juice and mint.Tasting Plate

Arrived before the lunch rush before 12, ordered and waited around for 45 minutes before the restaurant realised they lost our order. Walked out after that.

It took a while though get in and my expectation was high. Gorgeous aromas drifted across us and I knew that this was wasn’t going to disappoint.<br/>Even though it was busy, a group of 7 was seated with a great view of the harbour.<br/>Service was meh, whilst our orders were taken quickly, drinks took ages to hit the table. This was due to table confusion by the waiter and him placing the wrong drinks in front of us.<br/>After correcting him a different waiter brought out our drinks 10minutes later.<br/>The food followed shortly and was pretty good. The half rack of ribs fell off the bone but was a touch dry. Great flavour in the sauce and it would have been nice for more sauce.<br/>Overall pretty good but not amazing.<br/>Value was good if you are looking for meaty ribs and a great view.<br/>

I had a birthday party here and booked it as a function for 16 people. I found the service to be very good and we were really looked after by the staff. I decided the function menu, drinks and extras before the day and everything was exactly as expected. Myself and my guests had a really great night.
FrenchToast
Beautifully cooked steak. So full of flavour and tender. We each had the scotch fillet medium rare which came with creamy mash potato and caramelised onions. The bernaise sauce was unfortunately too thick and gluggy so the steak without the sauce was better.
@KeraBearEats
Came here on a Thursday afternoon at 12pm. Not very busy and lots of tables available.<br/><br/>Great service from the brilliant male waiter who seemed to know his wines like they were written on the back of his hand (assure you his sleeves were up!). The peppery Shiraz he recommended me was a winner, and was a lovely match with my food.<br/><br/>Had the Queensland Scallops, Greek Salad side, the Giant Pork Ribs, and the Flat Iron Wagyu.<br/><br/>The Scallops were fantastic, and the Sweetcorn puree was surprisingly delicious. The Greek Salad was fresh, and generously portioned. The Giant Pork Ribs were juicy and tender, and the fries were incredibly crispy and fluffy. The Flat Iron, though more of the pricier items, was flavourful and satisfying.

Darling harbour I think is generally a bit of a tourist trap but there are a few deals to be had if you go at the right times. On week nights there is a happy hour special between 5pm and 630pm I think where you can get 2 courses for $32 from a select choice of menu items. We went for this on a Friday night and it wasn't too bad - felt like a holiday in your town!Grilled Baby Octopus

After waiting for over 10 minutes, called the person who greeted us to advise that we are ready to order only to be told that someone else will take our order and pointed us to the waiter who royally kept ignoring us despite repeated gestures to seek his attention from one table away. We finally decided to leave after almost half hour of wait. <br/><br/>Extremely rude wait staff. Will never dine here again.
Greg Gavalas
The cocktails were good and enjoyed those. I was rather dissapointed in the trio of dips entree, small portions and dips were not that good. I had Beef ribs for main which were ok. Mate had pork ribs and they were very poor. Everyone who had a steak loved their steak so def way to go next time

Very good service. The waiter was very helpful when we were ordering our food. The food itself was delicious. The atmosphere of the restaurant in Darling Harbour is very pleasant

After a wet cruise around the Harbour for Vivid Sydney (does it ever stop raining in Sydney ?) our group of four dined at I'm Angus, pre booked thru the Zomato App, the restaurant is water side at Cockle Bay wharf and offers both inside and terrace dining (handy for viewing the fireworks)<br/>Us men opted for entrees, me, grilled baby octopus and mate, soft shell crab, both enjoyed whilst the wives looked on with some impatience For mains we meat eaters chose the Rump with a Pepper sauce served with mash and roasted onions ( would have liked more sauce) the more dainty of our party both had the soft shell crab as a main The drinks menu is extensive and catered well to our parties tastes, the service was friendly and helpful and the experience quite enjoyable <br/>Can't really remember the bill total so couldn't have been too bad. All in all a nice night out

It was very nice and I would definitely go back there again. It is right next to the harbour and you get awesome water views. The waiter that served us was very nice and friendly.

2nd attempt to I'm Angus. The last visit was years ago that the food was not impressed. I expected the improvement after many years later especially I'm Angus seems like a dominate to Darling Harbour restaurants. After the dining experience today, I was so regret of giving this chance to them.<br/><br/>We went there for lunch and they served lunch special. A big mistake! As this is a steakhouse, I ordered the rump steak - medium rare. The steak came out looked perfect! Unfortunately, the steak tastes like rubber. I talked the the waiter and asked them to cook a bit more that maybe eatable. (Funny thing is, he pointed at the side menu and said - the special one? And said, "that's why". I was like - "the special one that cost $21 then you serve rubber that people can't eat? Is it really? ) The waiter said the steak will be more tough if cook more. But how can I eat a rubber? cook more maybe a better chance that could fill up my stomach. Came out, the same rubber taste again. I just left the steak on the plate and ask for bill. Take my money! $21 - I rather to order Angus burger in McDonalds. <br/><br/>How funny is, usually the service staff will ask how was the food. For today, none of them asked us. I believe the chef and the waiter knew what's going on and I will mention the horrible steak. <br/><br/>Come back again? No way! That 0.5 point is for the fish and chips. You name yourself is a steakhouse, what a shame!

Angus beef steak is something you should definitely try it's located of the harbour with a beautiful view and a great service.<br/>The mushroom sauce was very pleasant to go with steak . someone who orders ribs gets to have bib tied by waiter, good experience

Sooo good! Arrived at 6pm and had the early bird special. Two courses for $32! Salt and pepper calamari with Ranch sauce... Tender, delicious, good entree size. Second course.. Rump steak with beer battered chips and peppercorn sauce.. Perfectly cooked steak, fantastic chips and the sauce???.. Delicious! Do yourself a favor and come here!

Great ambiance in a fantastic location overlooking darling harbour. All staff were friendly and the food was what you would expect when coming to a strakhouse!!!<br/>The only negative was the steaknifes require sharpening as I found it quite difficult to slice the meat.

my husband and I went for dinner. I do not like bloody steaks. everyone has there preference. I had to send my steak back twice as it was ousing blood on my plate and i had asjed fir very well done.the waitress offered us a complimentary desert. my husband had had his steak but I had had nothing. they did not even tell me they were not going to cook it again for me after the second complaint.we finally accepted desert. when they billed us it was 92 dollers. I had not even had a meal only desert.we had had 2 soft dtinks and a coffee. how the can they charge for such a bad service.the manager was sent to our table and was arrogant and said the bill as right. we ended up paying 77 dollers. for a terrible experience. my advice is Do Not go there. McDonalds has better customer service .

Came here for a quick steak after flying across from Perth. The place was busy and in fact all waterfront places were packed, probably the 14 February had something to do with it. I was lucky to get a table. Waiter was friendly and looked after my drinks and food order. Went with the steak and mash with mushroom sauce. Asked for medium rare steak and when it arrived was perfectly cooked. Sauce was good too and mash was creamy. Based on my service and food would definitely come back; a great find and reasonably priced.

This is the worst service we have had at any restaurant. We arrived at 645 and our meal didn't arrive until after 8 we had to continue to ask were our food was. We started counting how many people arrived and got food before us. We stopped after 6 couples. The food was average. We ordered 2 medium steaks and a rack of ribs for our boys to share. The steaks arrived with some mash and was pretty average the ribs were not much better. Once we had finished we then had half our table cleared I went to pay and asked to speak to the manager to give him some customer feedback and he said that because we had ordered a medium steak that have to let it test for 1/2 hour. And that was why it took so long. I said that 1/2 dozen other tables got there steaks before us even tho they had arrived later and he did no. It was because they rested their steaks. I asked if this was the normal quality of food and service and he said yes and handed me the bill. <br/>Worst steakhouse, worst service, ribs were full of fat and cold. We thought they may have been trying to justify the price by the amount of time it took to get your food. Really disappointed as I thought we were in for a nice steak dinner.

Complete rubbish , <br/>Steak overcooked <br/>Black pepper sauce is awful <br/>Salad look old <br/>Chips is ok but not wow <br/>There is no 140 word to complete this review <br/>

Went there for lunch. Overall not that special, I ordered the top cut sirloin steak. <br/><br/>*Shown to the table : less than 5 min<br/>*Waiter came to us for my order : 10 min<br/>(After 2nd attempts to call them)<br/>*Got my food : 25 min<br/>*Taste : 6 out of 10<br/>*Portion : decent size <br/>*Price : $$$ <br/>*Will I come back again : probably not

Busy night tonight and were seated in the back corner. Got seated with my wife and we were forgotten. Waited for someone to attend to us and still no one. Hostess didn't even offer water to start. Waited at least 15 - 20 minutes then we walked out. No one stopped us. Rated 1 but would give a zero if this app would let me!!!

We waited for almost 1 hour and haven't got our dishes, and we asked for the table water but have been ignored three times. Very low efficiency and poor service.
Pink.rhapsody
Food was pretty good, but the surcharge is ridiculous and unusual for Australia. Change your menu pricing if required in a weekend. Also, small print is unexpected and not sufficient of the charge. We felt really mislead (but would have paid extra 50% for the same menu items)
Jmanchatty
pretty good location along darling harbour and the steaks are pretty decent (not bad but not particularly amazing). specials definitely made the meal worth it in terms of pricing vs taste, although the cuts in the specials may be a little lower quality than going a la carte so that might be why the steaks didn't blow me away.

Decided to venture and try out a few steak places while we were in Sydney. Nice location right and great seating. Ordered lamb cutlets and a steak. The sauces for the steak weren't too good (mushroom). Very very salt so that's where the rating goes down. Everything else was amazing!! Definitely a place to go to.
Christopher Wager
This rating is purely on service so far. It's been 30min since sitting down, ordered drinks promptly but was ignored.<br/>Wine came out 15 minutes later and we had ask time and time again for water and the female host was abrupt and just plain rude.<br/>Taking orders were another challenge, after multiple attempts, some wait staff can't take orders some just ignored us.<br/>Order was finally taken. Will review again after food!<br/>Food came within 20minutes of ordering but the quality of food was very below average.<br/>Pork ribs were very tender but overpowered by the sauce, and I expected a bit more for a rack of ribs.<br/>Steak was a hit bland, a little seasoning definitely help but if the quality of the meat was good, no need for any seasoning.<br/>Overall very disappointed! More for tourist than a steak house!
TP
Nice enough food and a good location. The service was all over the place. We were still eating at 9.30 on a weeknight so I understand the staff wanted to go home but they practically kicked us out at 9.45. All of the tables had been pulled inside, they even cleared our table while we were still eating dessert. We ordered the warm chocolate fondant and it was straight out of the fridge - giving it a disgusting consistency. Maybe on a weekend the service would be better?
Jen
The open kitchen is a real treat to watch what is going on. Very busy when we visited but the service was still great. Food was cooked perfectly and tasted great.
Sweetandyummie
Great restaurant with a great location. The atmosphere is buzzing and there is always staff around to assist. I recommend the salt and pepper calamari and the buffalo wings. The pork ribs are really good too.

I wanna try to good kangaroo, It was amazing.<br/>I tried before several times but always too strong and dry.<br/>But at here, I can taste juicy and soft kangaroo.<br/>It is not main menu, just entree, but enough with some side dish.
Yuanting Li
I quite love this restaurant, especially the entrée--kangaroo meat there. I have been there for twice. But I think the taste there was not that stable. In second time, I ordered a medium-well steak, but it was nearly well-done! Anyway, it was still the restaurant I would like to recommend!
Constance Naomi
We had the salt and pepper calamari, and Queensland scallops as the entre. Both dishes were delicious. My steak was cooked to perfection however the ribs were rather underwhelming. <br/><br/>I found that the staff were not very attentive despite not being very busy.
Casellmai
Decent restaurant for lunch as the specials are well priced and filling. One thing I noted was on the menu it said $5 surcharge on Sunday's/ public holidays.... I understand on public holidays but Sunday's? Little bit cheeky!
Dan The Man
Twice I've walked the Eastern Darling Harbour strip and twice chosen this hearty steakhouse. The room and open dining areas were both abuzz with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The young Slovakian waitress was attentive and delightful.<br/>I ordered the Angus scotch fillet med-rare and while it was a little less rare than expected it was tender, juicy and full of flavour. The sauces were rich and the sides generous. Deserts were modern Aussie quisine and tasted exactly how they should. The empty plates speak volumes.<br/>For a good night out with friends and a tasty steak, this place is hard to beat. Do yourself a favour, start with a Black Asahi beer and finish with the merlo. You can thank me later.
Troy Mortleman
Popular restaurant right on the city side of Darling Harbour. Went for a mid week dinner and got a table pretty easily. Our Slovakian waitress was the highlight. Nothing flustered her - we ordered most things that were not on the menu but she took all in her stride. Had the black Angus 350gm Scotch fillet - ordered medium rare but came out more medium. Colleague ordered red wine jus but ended up with a nice (but not ordered) onion gravy. Onion did feature heavily with the steaks coming with two whole roasted baby onions and the side iceberg and avocado salad filled with red onion. Dessert options are stock standard but the chocolate orange pannacotta with blood orange sorbet was delicate and refreshing. Decent place with good views - the great service we had ticks it up an extra half a point.
James
Horrible tourist trap in darling harbour. Close to hotel, and a marginal improvement on room service. Waited 10 minutes for a drink, got white wine not red, 15 minutes. Very expensive, very busy, very noisy. Steak is ok.
Ann-Marie
The only thing this restaurant had going for it tonight was the food. We had to ask our waiter three times for the correct cutlery for the table and once we'd placed our order he disappeared completely and we didn't see him for the rest of the night! Clearly noone else was assigned to our table because the food took a VERY long time to come out. All the serving staff walking passed constantly knocked into my chair making it difficult and uncomfortable to eat. None of the cocktails came with straws to punch through the copious quantities of ice so I had to go to the bar to get them myself. We asked for the dessert menu which never arrived so I went in search of it myself, only to be told that one of the waitresses would bring it out but again, it took forever! Because of all the delays we decided against dessert and had to flag down a passing waitress for the bill. When we eventually received it, we discovered that we had be charged $10.50 for a bottle of water (we just asked for a glass of water) and also a $15 surcharge because it was a Sunday. There was NO notice of this on the menu or in the restaurant.<br/><br/>I'm a regular visitor to Darling Harbour and this is the first and definitely the LAST time I will be going to this restaurant. There are so many options in Darling Harbour that one would think they would want to be competitive, but it seems that's not really an issue here.
Anita
We dined here on Sunday with a group of mates, we all had the worsers experience! The customer service was extremely poor. Waitresses did not come around to take our orders, until 15- 20mins or so when we asked them too.. Once they did, we had a waitress that did not look enthusiastic when servicing. once she did, she had no notebook to write on, but that's okay if she can remember 7 orders, we highly phased her for her memory skills, But our orders ended up coming out with our steaks not cooked according to what we wanted . and when we asked nicely to recook one serve of steak again, the way we wanted cooked and asked for from the start, she gave us attitude, which was very rude. you pay for extras, such as $3.50 on sauces and it was horrible! Runny mushroom sauce and no flavour. A mate ordered a glass of coke ... It was flat! No flavour, and we asked for another one and it had taken 15mins to come out, no apology no explanation , no nothing. When we payed, we wanted to split the bills .. Instead of doing separate billings for us, they made us sit there and calculated it ourselves ! Whilst they stood there and watched. This had taken another 15mins to calculate individual billings. Thank goodness for calculators on phones!. Charged us an extra $5 per person, due to dining in on a Sunday, but it was not even worth the extra money with bad service, food was not close to average. Overall, u only paying top dollar for the view, not the food or warmth/welcoming atmosphere. Worse experience if you're paying average $60 pp and you get nothing out of it. I reccomend to look around for a better steak house, otherwise this place is such a disappointing dining place, just don't expect for the 'best'. If you were to go here, its worser than a cheap Tuesday night steak at the local pub.

Went there for dinner on a Friday night, restaurant was half empty...I'm sure there was a reason for it...yep,poor customer service, waiter, manager were rude n slow, had to hunt down anyone to take an order...wasn't happy for such mediocre service at such an exorbitant price. Won't go again, will warn others against this place.
Eating Out Sydney
A nice spot for a sunny day. Polite staff, even provided choice of table which is always a bonus. The meat cooked as requested, again hige plus. Busy yet staff capable of handling mutiple tables - good service overall. Comfortable seating. The price is a little high however it is Darling Harbour. Pretty good for groups, i recommend as a lunch spot.
Jeffrey Wong
Went there last week with my friend when I drove to Sydney from Melbourne. <br/>The food was stunning, we had traditional garlic prawns (entrée) pork ribs and rib eye steak (mains). The prawns are so fresh that you can taste the sea! The steak however is a little too salty but its not so bad. The pork ribs is so sweet and succulent, the meat comes off the bone so easily and melt in your mouth. Absolutely beautiful. <br/>And the environment was great, nice view of darling harbour at the evening, although the table is a little small.. <br/>Overall its a great place, I couldn't rate it any higher because its rather expensive for 2 of us to spend $157 dollars on a meal.. And table is a little small. But definitely worth a come back once in a while. (:
Caitlin Yang
The food taste great however I've been here several of times and the customer service was one of the worst. The staffs are friendly however I need to look around and wave for ages before a staff comes. I waited half an hr for the dessert and in the end they didn't even put the order through.
Ed Z
Loved it. Had been told it was a good place but it is great. First impressions are fantastic. The location is glorious, set on The Promenade at Cockle Bay looking out over the water. Decor is very inviting. We had a late dinner on a Monday night and the place was virtually full (often a good sign). <br/>The staff were delightfull, skilled and knowledgeable helping us refine our orders. <br/><br/>The Food. I had The Big Beef Ribs and they were great. Meat was melt in your mouth and the coating, unlike most ribs, was flavoursome but not overly sweet. The presentation was also very good. <br/><br/>An absolute must return when next in Sydney.

Below average food for above average prices. Absolutely shocking! Steaks arrived almost grey after we had ordered them medium rare, mash was lukewarm, sauce was cold and all this when we were literally one of 2 tables dining - hate to see what we would have received during peak time. Their not going to get me twice, I will stick to Adria next door.
Ilovepancakes
Hands down the best steak I have ever had. Another one of my favourites and has been for years. I love getting the kangaroo skewers. They're tasty and always cooked to perfection! This can be a pricey dinner but well worth it.

Has gone down hill- from amazing food to discussing food.. This has been one of my favourite restaurants for around 6 years or more.<br/>In the last year it has gone down hill, barramundi dish is not fresh & skin no longer crispy. As for the rack of pork, do not even go there...absolutely horrible! <br/>They closed for a month or so then reopened & when they did there menu changed. And so did the quality.<br/>I too my family there for Mother's Day, how disappointing.
Alana Keith
Average food & very expensive. Came today for Mother's day lunch and food was so plain And overpriced. Don't recommend at all as food is average.

I’m Angus is situated along the beautiful dining strip of The Promenade Cockle Bay Wharf. It is one of six restaurants owned by Nick’s Restaurant and Bar Group . One of the six that we have dined at as of yet, and have decided to give a brief review of our second visit. A steakhouse that offers a little for everybody, with an extensive wine list and a variety of cuts cooked to your liking. With a waterfront view for seating “outside” and a warm atmospheric feel for diners sitting “inside”, I’m Angus was our go to place on a lazy Thursday evening. Our visit to I’m Angus was a spontaneous decision and the visit was not for any particular occasion, though we were not entirely hungry, we felt it was a nice place to sit and enjoy a quick meal. This was our second dining experience at I’m Angus Steakhouse. Jessica: I know this is a steakhouse, but I can’t go passed my chicken breast! I had this dish when we came here for the first time and to be honest the flavour on the chicken was lacking,
Jambon Cochon
As a teaser, I started with the 24-Hour Slow Roasted Pork Belly , featuring a salad of kale, beetroot and lentils with a healthy drizzle of balsamic dressing. Towering over the salad like a monument of Stone

I'm Angus Steakhouse was the venue of a good friends' birthday and the promise of meat was very encouraging. First things first. After we ordered it took almost an hour for our dishes to arrive. That was a definite downer on the night and we tried our best to excuse it due to the business of the restaurant however seeing tables that came after us being served was disheartening. I ordered the Pork Cutlet which came on a sweet pea risotto and granny smith apple jus. One of my favourite flavour combinations are pork and apple so I knew I had to order this. By the time my dish was put in front of me I was starving so I tore straight into it. The risotto was very creamy and the sweet peas were delicious. The pork itself was not as succulent as I would have hoped but it was complemented perfectly with the jus. Sadly, I was not satisfied after this dish despite also having garlic bread as an entree. 7/10 "Darling Downs" Pork Cutlet $32: Wanted more pork on my fork The Marinated Chicken

I’m Angus has friendly staff, waterfront views and great atmosphere. It’s a favourite for locals and being situated at Darling Harbour, it’s also a favourite for tourists so it’s never out of diners.<br/>

Among the mediocre restaurants that cater to tourists at Cockle Bay Wharf, the food, service and atmosphere make I'm Angus really stand out. Definitely a great choice when you want to impress visitors with great food and an awesome view of the Harbour.

You get million dollar views out over Darling Harbour watching the boats going to and fro, and as the sun sets it gets even better as the night lights sparkle and shine across the water. It's just such a beautiful place to be watching the world go by.

Service throughout the evening was courteous, genuine and efficient. I don't dine at Darling Harbour often (read: never), because it has always struck me as overpriced, but the vibe is great on a Saturday night, and you can't beat the option of fireworks as a post-dinner show. Fireworks start at either 8:30pm or 9pm on plenty of Saturday nights throughout the year.

My significant other and I share the same birthday, so every year we have the dilemma of choosing a venue for our birthday dinner. This year I chose I’m Angus Steakhouse with a set menu at $65 per person. On arrival, we devoured into a plate of tasty breads toasted with cheeses. For entree, I choose the calamari, and I was quite impressed; it was fresh and soft, with no evidence of chewiness, and the passionfruit sauce was a nice surprise compliment.

I first noticed how open and spacious the restaurant was. There is indoor and outdoor seating and an open kitchen. They also have an extensive wine list, with one wall lined with rows of different wines, and another wall has a whole history of steak writt

On our last day in Sydney we were walking around Darling Harbour and Cockle Bay during lunchtime and decided we needed to sample some native Australian food so we picked the I'm Angus steakhouse that was likely to have some well made kangaroo. This was my

Poor service and cold food. It took over an hour for 7 burgers to come out on a quiet Saturday afternoon. The service was extremely poor and the waiters made us feel extremely unwelcome. After the hour long wait and no apology for the timing the poor amount of chips to accompany the tiny burger were cold. Cutlery was dirty and the food was below average of quality. Beyond disappointed and quite frankly embarrassing on their behalf. We certainly won't be back

Below average food, not well informed staff, overpriced, tricking costumers. It all started on a night where one of our friends was celebrating his birthday. This place was booked by some of our friends for a table of 10 or so. Definitely not my choice but we were all excited to be have some good steak! Before I even went I actually checked google reviews and things weren't looking promising but anyhow, we had to go as this place was already booked.<br/>We arrived and after sitting down at our table, we ordered drinks and thinks were going well so far, the staff seemed friendly and we even made a few jokes so all good at this stage. We waited for our drinks while everyone was going thru the menus. Our drinks finally arrived and the waiter asked if we were ready to order. We asked for a few more minutes and everything until this point was ok. After the waiter come back and while some were still undecided due to so many options, the waiter started pushing for the special which was 250gm steak.(53 bucks) and saying how this was such a good value, grade of the meat,etc.. Most people were excited and opted for this option. The waiter failed to describe anymore than just the grade of the meat and the part of the cut. Not mentioning how the steak was served. Everyone assumed that this would be a steak as referred by the waiter.<br/>After a while the food came and to our disappointment the meat was cut in slices as if it was picanha (Brazilian style cut meat, rump cap) which this one didn't even get close in taste, in cut and texture. We were all expecting a steak and not meat slices to start with. Was over cooked and definitely not worth the 50 dollars. Size portion was also very questionable as what I had on my plate wouldn't even reach 200gm.<br/>Noticed later on the menu on the wall that they had Brazilian cut lunch specials for 20 something bucks that day. Clearly trying to get rid of the lunch leftovers, hence the dinner special push by the waiter. Who serves a steak cut in slices without telling you how it's served. A steak is a steak and in one piece, not some dodgy sliced meat that it's not even properly cooked or not the right cut of meat to do picanha to begin with. <br/>I would not recommend this to anyone, and I will definitely not coming back here ever again. <br/>I eat better at home or at a Brazilian's friends place. For 50 dollars? No thanks... below average experience. Ohhh Sydney, when are you going to learn. I've definitely learnt my lesson ages ago but didn't have a say this time. And to think I spent $100 dollars that night on that experience. Couldn't go without having to say something about it. RIP OFF. If you were in Europe your place would be already closed. Lucky, there are many people that don't know what good food is. Good luck!

We went there earlier this week for my birthday dinner, it was reasonably good but slow.<br/>Tonight we took some friends, the waiter was too busy telling us we had 7mins to order the $29 menu rather than getting us the menu which I had to ask for twice. Took us close to an hour to get 3 steaks and some chicken. We also kept having to hail the waiter down, after 45 mins we asked where our food was and he said i'll check. We had to go find him again after 10 mins as he didnt come back...<br/>I asked for a medium steak and it was well done.<br/>Tonights service was appalling, will be trying somewhere else next time.

Lousy! I normally don't complain, but we had a company function and all (20 odd) agreed...Poor quality steak (where did they buy it?) served almost cold, salad arrived way after the steaks were all gone...mostly not eaten, just waited for them to be taken away (what kind of service is that?) The steaks were tough as old shoes and just as tasteless! Gristle & grim, worse than horsemeat? The place was packed (of course Saturday nite in peak season) so way to many patrons and way to few waiters.....long waits for everything, table pushed up against the back wall with a wine rack against that wall. End result, waiters squeezing past guests every time they needed to get a bottle of wine. Would have had a better meal at Macdonald's. None of our group would go back there.... very poor in a city where generally the standard is so high. Like I said " LOUSY"

Awful. Not good. Was there last night at a company Xmas party. Service was VERY slow and when we finally got our food it was awful. The steak was tough and sinewy as well as cold. And that was all it was - a piece of awful steak. After we all done pushing it around our plates, the salad arrived. The desert was good but then it is hard to mess that up. We have been there for several previous dinners and was always great.. I would say overbooking and under staffing coupled with poor quality meat has all contributed to a miserable experience.

Is it too much to ask for a smile and a bit of friendley customer service? The answer is a clear yes, you get pub quality steak at $46, weight staff who have no interest in being at work and they will forget your sides. Save your hard earned and go somewhere else.

OK steak, poor service, slugged with surcharge. I visited I'm Angus Steak House when visiting Sydney for business. A group of us (11) arrived at our scheduled time of 7.30p, ordered drinks and quite some time later were asked for our meal orders. A very long time later (luckily we had ordered some breads) our meals arrived. I understand that in locations such as Darling Harbour one would expect to pay prices at the upper end of the scale however also expect high quality food. The steak was OK (good pub food quality) but not exceptional. One diner was very satisfied with his barramundi...best he had eaten (odd in a steak restaurant). The biggest surprise came with the bill, around $1100 including a 10% surcharge for us having the temerity to bring more than 8 diners into their establishment. Not again thanks

Doesn't like it!!! The service is really poor and the food us just average. It is expensive consider the portion size
Maria
Food was nice, very pricey for just steak with an onion and a smear of mash, then when the bill came we were slugged with a 10% service fee for having 8 people on our table. So if we ordered dessert the service fee would have been more. How do you penalise people at your restaurant for ordering more food !!

Very pushy service and average food. The website should've been a giveaway given the place seems to be part of a racket that owns nearly every restaurant in Darling Harbour and Cockle Bay Wharf (never a good sign)...at any rate, we couldn't get a booking at the Meat & Wine Co so we tried here.<br/><br/>The ambience isn't at all relaxing. Blasting music making it near impossible to have a conversation and you really don't get a great view from anywhere due to their table configurations.<br/><br/>The menu is reasonably extensive but for a steak place I'd expect more details on the beef quality (like a marbling score...the highest they had was 3 which is pretty low quality)....but they certainly charge the same price or more than superior steak restaurants.<br/><br/>I ordered the tenderloin (medium rare). The meat was tender (albeit slightly chewy), cooked as ordered and flavoursome....but I was the only person on our table that found it so. The rest of the diners with me really didn't like their steak. One of them had to cut out multiple pieces of fat and sinew. All these steaks were over $40. They also didn't seem to be the size promised from the menu.<br/><br/>The steaks came served with the smallest smear of stodgy, bland mashed potatoes and 2 little roasted onions. You can get chips instead which tasted nicer.<br/><br/>Ordered the hazelnut/white choc creme brulee for dessert. Very thin sugar crust...the custard was nice, smooth and had a good flavour but, by the bottom of the rammekin, it was set too much and firm/jelly like which was unpleasant. They were also served with a biscotti which I was actually shocked was on the plate - it was exceptionally stale, had no texture/crunch left at all, and inedible. Couldn't believe it was there. This was $15 btw which is pretty steep for that quality of dessert.<br/><br/>The service really killed the evening though. Meals took around 45 mins to come out...they were slow to fill up water glasses (but don't leave jugs at the table)...a couple of orders were wrong...and they didn't know the menu at all. When ordering, someone asked a simple question about the differences between the cuts of beef and the waiter had no idea and just suggested the more expensive one (which turned out to be not what was wanted).<br/><br/>Which was the biggest turn off of the evening...it was like being at a timeshare presentation all night. The service was inattentive for everything we need (like water and getting the meals out in a reasonable time), but they pestered us all night to keep ordering more alcohol, breads and so on. They asked 3 times if we wanted bread and we answered no each time as we wanted the meals sooner (in retrospect if we'd have known it would be 45 mins, we'd take the bread!)...but the badgering/pressuring to buy more booze was terrible. It verged on interrupting us - actually stepping in and interrupting conversation just to ask if someone wanted another glass of wine/beer. Upselling. Yet if you wanted to attract someone from the floor, no one to be seen.<br/><br/>Just not an enjoyable evening and /very average/ food. I'd be satisfied with it at half the price but not in the price range they're charging. Neither the service nor food is up to snuff.

Very unimpressed. The ribs were dry. Rude manager very expensive and a $10 surchage on a sunday. Will not be going back.

Great steak, great location, staff a bit pushy / arrogant. Would I go again....... Maybe if I really particularly wanted a steak on darling harbor but otherwise I'd give it a miss

Terrible service! Food was average. Wouldn't recommend it.

Perfect Steak. You will find it hard to get a better steak in Sydney.<br/><br/>Service was okay, price was okay considering the location.<br/><br/>The eye Fillet (mignon) was perfect. I learnt a long time go that not all Chefs know what a medium steak is; now days i ask for a pink steak with clear juices and yes that is a perfect medium steak for me.<br/><br/>I got what i asked for and it was perfect.

Rudest staff I've ever seen in my life!

Came here for lunch yesterday and had the $18 lunch special sirloin. Delicious! Perfectly cooked as well. Service was attentive and friendly and would definitely come back here again!

My boyfriend and I were so excited by the sound of the meat platter for two so we gave this place a shot only to be beyond disappointed. We walked in and were a little confused about where we should wait to be seated and stood around long enough to be noticed by a few staff but were completely ignored. Decided to walk out and wait again for too long. We were both put off by the service already considering their prices and their location, I had expected much more.<br/><br/>The service was atrocious. So disappointing. I don't dine in at a restaurant to wait for service. I'm amazed that this has a rating of >70%. <br/><br/>I won't be coming back anytime soon. Cannot stress enough how bad the wait staff were. <br/><br/>The food was OK. Nothing amazing.

Rude waiter. The place was completely empty at lunch time and we were made wait for a table. No clear reason why. The food was ok, service was terrible.

Brilliant experience with angus steakhouse..!! The pork ribs with potato is really excellent.. Also great for the pear&almond tart. Reasonable price with high level quality and excellent positions for dinner!
Nicole
Chose this restaurant for lunch as had walked pass for last few days and it was always busy, sat down, ordered drinks, great waiter, but when ordering lunch from lunch specials and requesting chips instead of mash, we were told no <br/>We couldn't have them, when I questioned why waiter asked manager who was standing close by, manager responded with no answer bar, no you can't have chips. We paid for our drinks ( very watered down lift) and left! Don't think they care about costumer service here!!! Apparently because the steak was a special it only comes with mash!

Throughly Dissappointed!. After being told by a couple of friends that this place has the "Best steak in the world" I was thrilled to be booking a table for 2, for my boyfriend's 21st Birthday. <br/><br/>I was however thoroughly disappointed by the Steakhouse. The staff are very friendly indeed, yet the table was not set properly when we first came in. ( I actually didn't notice till we needed to eat) 30 mins in we were asked about our drinks. 1hr later asked about out menu selections. <br/><br/>However, there were about 4 tables who had arrived after us and were given their dinner before us. I'm not one to whinge and carry on about it. But I did spot our order on the chef's table, sitting there for about 45 mins BEFORE it was given to us. <br/><br/>Eventually when I was served, it was cold, chewy and stringy...I could have gotten a better steak at woollies or coles, cooked it up myself and given it to my partner and we would have had a better night than we had here that's for sure! The Caesar salad was beyond average, the type I would get at the chicken shop, only with little to no sauce. <br/><br/>When we had finished our dinner, I had asked for the bill from one of the waitress, which she said she would get. (Jokes) she promptly forgot about it when another customer asked another question. Sitting there for another 30 mins made my blood boil and when we finally flagged down a waitress I just wanted to walk up and pay the bill and get the hell out of there!!<br/><br/>I was so disappointed and embarrassed as I had planned a magical night for my boyfriend's 21st birthday and myself. Instead I left the place incredibly angry and upset. And my boyfriend was not far off. Especially because of the price I paid! <br/><br/>What I do applaud them on is there quick response to my feedback. I was given the opportunity to go back and have an experience of a lifetime thanks to the manager Duncan. However I don't think I would be going back there anytime soon.

Great service. Amazing food. Terrific wine and beer.

Average at best.. I came here for lunch just before watching a movie at IMAX with my husband and brother and its been years since I have been here last. I was tossing between Meat and wine co and this place and thought we would come here as they were in the entertainment book. Since we made a reservation and we were early we got to choose pretty much where we wanted to sit and since it was a nice sunny day we sat outside under the awning. <br/><br/>We decided to head straight to the mains and my brother opted for the surf and turf with side of onion rings which he found too salty and meat something you would find at a pub. My husband and I shared the pork ribs (full rack) and I got some scallops which was 3 pieces with 3 arancini balls. Decent for $19 as it can cost much more elsewhere. My husband found the pork ribs to be cold in some parts while the bits I had were tender (but Hurricane does much better pork ribs). I ordered chips as a side and these were crispy but bland. Restaurant is pricey, but that's what you pay for dining at Darling Harbour.

Not happy. Want to know how unhappy I am? Well I just finished my meal and still sitting in the restaurant on my date and instead of concentrating on my date I had to stop and write this review. My portions are too small for the price that we paid and our steak was cooked wrong and had to be sent back. Not worth it.

Had the Sunday, Monday $25 special rump steak (medium rare) with mash potato and added bernaise sauce with lemon lime and bitters. For a reasonable price the food was great. Perfectly cooked steak, creamy mash and the bernaise sauce (my favourite) wasn't from a premade pack which so many other places seem to use nowadays. Not sure the food is worth the regular prices but a great lunch special at a beautiful location with genuine service is a rare find. Definitely worth a try for steak lovers.

Don't Bother. Was quite excited to have a great steak in a great location. Partner and I ordered 2 steaks - 1 medium rare and 1 medium. Delivered 1 rare and 1 medium rare. Requested to have the rare (as was delivered as medium) cooked abit more. It was killed by the cook (could not have been a chef as they usually have an element of care). The killer to the night...was for revenge salt was added to the pepper sauce! It was not edible! The level of pride was nil.<br/>The manager attended to us. Left his card so that he could take care of us next time! Hey mate.....won't be a next time. We have been twice..yes ...was the first and last time!

I'm Hungry. This venue seems to get mixed reviews - but it seems that I struck it on a 'good' night.<br/><br/>Arriving at Darling Harbour on a busy Friday night (without a booking), I didn't really expect that I would be able to get a table for one - but to my surprise, the staff were happy to accommodate me despite the restuarant already pumping (with very few free tables).<br/><br/>Not surprisingly, it was explained that I couldn't get a table near the waterfront ... but my table inside the resaurant was not bad - with a good view of the theatre of the staff working the grill. There certainly didn't appear to be too much downtime as they went about their work! The chargrilled smell eminating from the grill area was certainly stimulating my appetite!<br/><br/>The entree seafood tasting plate consisted of a couple of fresh oysters, tasmanian smoked salmon, fresh prawns and a dipping sauce - and was honest although unspectacular. I matched this one with a pleasant NZ Sauvignon Blanc.<br/><br/>A main course of the chargrilled 100 day grain fed rib eye on the bone - perfectly cooked rare (as requested) was very good - seared on the outside with a nice bloody red centre! Flavoursome and quite tender, it came with a bowl of crisp chips and a small salad. This course was accompanied by a pleasant SA Cabernet Sauvignon which was served precisely as my meal arrived.<br/><br/>The apple and blackberry crumble with vanilla bean icecream and rich chocolate swirl was a nice way to round out the meal - and a Chambord Royale cocktail finished things off nicely.<br/><br/>My assessment of this venue - an honest, value for money meal made better by the excellent service that I received from my waiter (Sammy). For a very busy Friday night, the service was in my view - a highlight!

For starters, I'd just like to say I'd heard a lot of fantastic things about this place. My partner and I decided to try it out finally and were thoroughly disappointed! <br/>For starters, the floor manager seemed highly displeased at the fact there were only two of us dining, meaning that she had to split a table set for four. We then had our orders taken by a relatively more pleasant waitress, only to he served again by the abysmal floor manager. When asking me if I would've liked ketchup or mustard for my fries and I replied both (as I was sharing with my boyfriend) she looked at me as if I was crazy. Soon after she returned with my sauce. That's right, she only brought me one. All of this would have been forgiven if the highly over priced meal was up to scratch, which of course it was definitely not. A salad with 2 slices of cucumber and what seemed like all the left over bits of lettuce tossed into a plate and garnished with a tomato or two, chips as cold as ice. As for the steak, I can get better steak cooked 100 times better for half the price at my local pub, and that's saying something. I am never one to whinge about my dining experiences however I felt I had to share this for all to see. With a pathetic floor manager who should he fired right away (in my opinion) and ridiculously over priced food, I'm Angus steakhouse receives a very big thumbs down from me. Oh, and did I forget to mention said floor manager seated us half in the rain?

Worst food I've had in a long time. Tempura was just beer batter, seafood chowder was a bowl of warm cream, angus steak sandwich was minute steak with some tinned beetroot and the bread given with meals was so stale I needed a glass of water to wash it down.<br/><br/>Never again!
Clian23
Everything's perfect, but the meat. As my friend and I went to I'm Angus Steak House during lunch hours, the place was considerably empty which in turn translated into excellent attentive staff and a very very short wait time.<br/><br/>The lunch special, priced at $16, is really quite a steal. With the choice of 300g Rump Steak, wagyu beef sandwich or fish and chips. <br/><br/>However, as nice as the service and ambience was, the food could not meet our expectations.<br/>The meat was chewy and not very tender in both the Sandwich and the rump steak. It was plated quite nicely however the taste it left in our mouths was not welcome. <br/><br/>For the price we paid, it was a filling, satisfactory meal. <br/>In the short term future, perhaps won't go again for lunch. May try it for the alacarte dinner menu.

No No No. I go to Sydney quite often and I know in Melbourne we're a bit more spoilt with good food compared to Sydney so I am a lot considerate. But this one is just a great disappointment. for a good location right at the waterfront, I really expected more. The staff are too busy to talk to you keep prompting you to order. waiting for meal takes ages! The vegetable are undercooked. Salad's average. Steak's really really tough when I ordered medium rare. Definitely a waste of space.
